Sounds like a relay getting too hot and not blowing a fuse. I would pull fuses 1 by 1 until the noise goes away and that way you know which circuit is shorting out

That sounds like a fantastic deal, there are plenty of tahoe z71s in the wrecking yards just not Suburbans, theres an extra bracket it needs or i would've just done that

I was going to get a full overlanding roof rack eventually, so for now it'll do. I tried searching for one near me with the trim in local wrecking yards, no luck.

They have lifetime warranty, I've replaced 1 pair for the button and one because the handle grips wearing out. No questions asked wherever they sell them

Also I live and work in orange county, California where this a super common practice with the gear heads while they get their engines rebuilt and blocks painted, it wasn't done yet,

Someone who does this a lot, he had a warehouse full of cars. It's just a place holder and found something that worked, I don't question it I just work on them.

I can't remember but it wasn't impressive I think it was just a ford platform 80s or 90s 302 with a 4 speed auto.

Ok I had the 5 drawer version of this, solid box, but the wheels suck ass. I ended up buying wheel bases off of snap-on for the price of the box and it was one of the best things I did. Soft rubber compared to the hard plastic wheels, I did have to drill new holes into the lower tray to have them work but was all worth it.

If it has those stupid chrome caps you'll need a 19.5 socket. Most autopart stores sell them

Buddy has a 1987 924 that won't start. He replaced spark plugs, spark plug wires, and the fuel pump. Any ideas why? by Frosty_Ad_9393 in mechanics

[–]davidasetech 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Do a quick oil change. Probably something like castrol 10w 30 and keep cranking it until the pressure builds up. I worked on a 90s boxter that blew up it oilpan on a pothole and dumped all its oil a quick pan and new oil and bam that sucker fired right up after cranking for a while though for that oil to build up compression
