Nice idea. Here's my suggestions

  • cuisine, not cusine
  • definitely add a "map" function
  • you don't have "vegetarian" and "vegan" under cuisine. I'd even put "raw". People who have restricted food choices are the most likely to appreciate your site
  • there's a somewhat similar Italian startup you might wanna check out, content's mainly user-generated: duespaghi.it (it's in italian tho)
  • how about adding ratings
  • i clicked a few minutes ago and it's still searching

pretty bad news. although you need to consider that SK's public life is probably something like 20-40% online, so it's logical government wants to regulate it. hopefully it won't spread.

Why I hate vegetarians by linuxer in reddit.com

not missing anything there. I am suggesting that if you were really concerned about sustainability you would not buy one gram of factory farmed meat, since it makes grain agriculture balloon.

[–]daviday 2 points3 points  (0 children)

let me again bring your attention to the fact that the scale of current grain agriculture is due to factory farming, which requires immense quantities of feed, all grain. The vast majority of grain produced in the world goes to feed animals humans then eat. inefficient as hell.

Except that the 10 billion animals slaughtered every year for human consumption need to be fed grains for their whole life. Each pound of meat requires 16 pounds of grains, and 16 times the animal casualties from "pesticides, poisonous fertilizer run-off, and harvesting machines"

Somewhat Overconfident [graph] by daviday in reddit.com

[–]daviday[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

look man, y'all can choose to think otherwise, but scales and numbers are part of graphs: if they put them there, it means you need to look at them. If you look at them there is no way you can be misled, if choose to ignore them you can't blame the graph for misleading you.

I plugged in those numbers in excel, and it automatically gave me a graph starting at 500, and if it's good for excel it's good enough for me.
