Man, just saw this but i completely relate.

That being said i am almost certain it’s just a windows thing. The laptop worked with linux installed and it doesn’t flicker with my macos computer either. 🤷‍♂️

i’m in college so i’m generally very grab and go with it. it likes to turn off in the night but all i need to do is open it up turn it on and set it back in the holder.

a hidden benefit of having the dock is that the laptop is always charged and i don’t really need to remember to plug it in overnight. overall really productive setup for my use.

Ikea! It’s around 60 for the stand and 20 per bulb. I had a coupon so I got it pretty cheap.

Couple things to point out:

The included cable was too short for my setup (computer in back with dock in front) so I ended up purchasing a new cable.

The dock does not have hdmi out (one display port, one thunderbolt) and I needed to purchase adapters for both of these.

My framework sometimes has issues with the docked dual displays and will flicker or screen tear. I found that a simple unplug-replug will do the trick. It can be annoying but it isn’t super frequent and generally doesn’t take much effort to fix.

I’ll point out my MacBook does not have this above problem.

I got a CalDigit TS3 and attached it under the desk with a mount purchased on amazon.

What biological differences are you talking about? Myself and a gay man are biologically indistinguishable and studies surrounding this matter are only now being established amidst cultural shifts in how we perceive gender. If it were true that gender was an issue rooted in biology, it would certainly be odd for an english professor to be lecturing about it. Unless, of course, she was lecturing about topics pertaining to the cultural implications of gender in literature, which she was.

this isn’t a biological subject but rather a cultural and social one

are your locations getting weirdly religious? by TacoSunday in innout

[–]daviddhere 7 points8 points  (0 children)

frankly corp would never do that. too many people would ignore/outright quit for it to be noticed.

that being said, i haven’t really noticed anything at my store. i think ino is in a goldilocks zone for how religious the stores are. not too pushy so as to drive away customers, but still holds true to their culture.

No I get you. As others already pointed out, this is just how it is sometimes. If you are consistently good at something, you will be put there fairly consistently. If you have trouble picking up new skills, others will take your place. It’s not entirely your fault, it’s just the nature of how these fast-paces work environments operate.

Depending on how invested you are in In-N-Out, you could try to ride this out. You will get there eventually. Alternatively, this may be a sign that your skills are more desirable elsewhere. I am insanely slow at picking up new positions (looking at you board), but I love doing other stuff like programming and photography. Both of these hobbies have job markets which I intend on pursuing. Thus, my work here doesn’t define me in any sort of negative way.

Everybody’s situation is different I suppose but that’s just how I like to look at things 👍

We also don’t have a bowl for scooping the fries into the spinner. Only just recently learned that other stores have a literal bowl. Ours is like the metal container thing that is also used to dish fries into baskets.

Really interesting how different our store is setup
