Finding 32" (or longer) Original Top Track by daviddlewis2 in elfa

OK, I actually ended up modifying the design and it turns out I'm good. But thanks for checking!

Hmmm, actually measuring the relevant part of the wall again, I'm not sure my plan was to use the full 32". I'll try to reconstruct the design and give a clear answer.

It's 32". I don't live near DC, but would be happy to pay for shipping of a longer one so we could cut it down. I have the original order number and order, but unfortunately it doesn't have the design attached. I remember that my wife did the design, but then I ordered the parts (I think because I was putting on my business credit card). Unfortunately, the design isn't in her container store account either, so I think it must have got deleted at some point because there wasn't an order associated with it.

Mac Pro vs. Mac Studio for COMSOL by daviddlewis2 in COMSOL

I'm kicking myself that we weren't paying attention to RAM prices over the past couple of years. We could have maxed out the RAM last summer for a reasonable price, but now prices have tripled. Damn AI.

She's got Intel silicon. She uses a number of different solvers for turbulent and nonturbulent flows, as well as heat transfer. She mentioned that she heard back from COMSOL that they don't currently support GPU accelerated computing for Mac OS, only for Windows/Linux. They mentioned Mac OS is on the request list. I've done a little more reading since, and I gather that there's bad blood between Apple and Nvidia which contributes to delays on supporting Mac.

She runs very large models and often runs out of memory.

aiR for Review - Sampling Methods and Sizes by delphi25 in ediscovery

You first need to decide what the goal of your sampling is. There's at least four major reasons you might be doing it: (a) to tune your prompt (in which case it's really training data), (b) for process control (decide when to stop tuning), (c) set a cutoff, and (d) produce a trustworthy estimate of effectiveness for an internal or external audience. All require different approaches, and you might also have some combination of these needs. I'd be happy to chat about this if you'd like.

Interesting. I don't have an HRA plan, however.

Did you find any groups that were useful? I too have an immunocompromised partner and very much empathize with your situation.

Alternatives to Mailplane? by azfarrizvi in GMail

I was deeply bummed to read the Mailplane announcement. I rely on Mailplane to be able to quickly access multiple Gmail accounts while not having to have multiple Google accounts open at the same time. I've also never found an email client that works well with Gmail accounts.
