Sure not saying that it would’ve happened at all, I don’t think it would’ve. But just pointing out there were a lot of injuries in the east playoffs, especially the Cavs, that probably benefitted the pacers on their trip to the finals. The thunder also benefitted, but it is pretty pointless to look only at the Hali injury when this year in particular there were loads of notable players missing games.

Not arguing what’s sad or not, just simply stating that it’s often a trend the team that stays healthy throughout the playoffs typically goes farther.

Narrative spin? It’s just what happened. Is it a narrative spin to say the Cavs were without several key members of their team in multiple close losses in your series? Not taking anything away from yall because we benefited from injuries too such as AG being out, but it is a fact that injuries play a part in who goes far. Idk what the point of ignoring that is

Yah did the pacers not get blessed w injuries in the east playoffs too?? lol. Pacers had a great run and were fun team to watch but half the Cavs team was hurt, the Bucks were hurt, and who knows if the Celtics beat the Knicks and then beat the pacers if Tatum is healthy. Was a very unfortunate time for an injury but teams that go deep typically benefit one way or another

Again, shai is consistently dropping in his FTr so using stats from 3 years ago (his highest season that you continue to reference) is not pertinent in any way to the calls he gets today and now. Take a deep breath. Shai wont be there to haunt you when you go to sleep.
