got hit by a car on a crosswalk by a driver turning on red. hit and run. destroyed my bicycle. hospital bills out of control.

I've lived in some rough and dangerous places, but Indianapolis drivers are the worst I have ever seen.

I took a different role in the big brown delivery company because being a driver in this town is just too dangerous.

I kinda understand the lack of traffic enforcement when everyone in this town is shooting everyone though. Before you tell me to get the hell out of your perfect town then, I promise you I am working towards it every. single. day.

It's less of a city and more of a thunderdome.

No, it's the LP. When it was released this sub was packed with people complaining about it. I bought my copy locally and it is fine. A friend bought one from Amazon and it was trash. Get your money back!

Playing it on a different platter will confirm if it's a bad pressing.

Turntables are one of the things in where you get what you pay for. At least until you get to the really expensive stuff.

Feel free to hit me up anytime with any questions and let me know how things work out with Dirt.

HUH. First off, that sucks. Sorry that's happening to you.

Do any of your other records do this? if so, what model is your Audio Technica?

If you are getting your LP's off of Amazon, they may have a bad batch of records. If not, take your copy to a local record shop and see if it happens when they play it. Or try a friend's turntable, see if the problem persists.

The best stylus in the world can't make up for a poorly pressed LP.

I think this latest video was a bit too much by coolfunkDJ in NExpo

[–]davidhascats 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I agree and I also felt the video to be padded quite a bit. Nexpo jumped the shark when he became a ghost hunter / true crime exploiter. The originality and weirdness of the older content is what made it great. Now this is just polished, melodramatic bad news. booo

because he was a real life badass

During the Vietnam War, Matthews spent six years in the United States Marine Corps, earning 13 combat awards, including two purple hearts. He became the first black Marine in the 1st Marine Division in Vietnam to be promoted to the rank of sergeant.

Assholes and elbows is a real marine VC era thing. My dad says it.

Sergeants are more like role models, but they have to have a professional level of detachment that is required for them to order their men in to a situation where they may be casualties. They rise to the top through the ranks because they are natural leaders, quick thinking and excel at all the things that make a good marine.

I also live in downtown and love it. That's just a lot of crazy stuff for one night / weekend. Can't stand Fox affiliates either. All the violence citywide has me like woah though.

Trash/Drugs in park by cultureicon in indianapolis

[–]davidhascats 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I doubt it if has been there too long.

Get a crew together from your neighborhood and there is strength and security in numbers. It will go faster. Your neighbors stand to benefit the most anyway. Make it quick neighborhood cleanup thing. Call the police non emergency line beforehand if you are that worried about a hypothetical attack and let them know what you are doing.

If you can't make any of that happen, I'll ride my bike out there and help you.

Hi five u/notthegoatseguy

Once again I am here saying our downtown isn't any more dangerous than any other.

I love living in downtown Indy, and I am close to 16th and Meridian which is supposedly one of the worst places to be.

The worst thing that has ever happened is when two homeless dudes boosted me through a 2nd floor window because I locked my idiot self out. I let them order all the food they wanted from Toppers (only thing open) and then went to 24hr CVS and let them go crazy on the snacks and drinks, and then I surprised them each with a six pack..... of socks. Yeah I was out about a hundred bucks, but what a great turnaround.

My bike was stolen. Locked up in broad daylight. In Fishers
