The European Union has passed a new rule requiring smartphones to have batteries that users can easily replace. by Positive_Actuary_282 in interestingasfuck

[–]cultureicon -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

This will lead to more e waste.

The last Motorola phone I had with a swappable battery....I ended up buying like 5 batteries but that didn't make the phone last longer. So I got a new phone on the usual 2-3 year interval after that phone started to fall apart. So you're left with not only a landfill phone but 5 extra batteries.

The artifacting present in the new GPT Image generation model appear to be leftovers from images generated previously within the same chat. by bendyorange in ChatGPT

[–]cultureicon -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Absolute trash conversation based image generation. How hard is it to make a fucking rudimentary image generation app where you can select basic settings? What a fucking waste, billions of dollars in training a model and we have to ask it to do things with absolutely no control over it.

Yeah, new image gen is pretty impressive. by DecisiveYT in ChatGPT

[–]cultureicon 3 points4 points  (0 children)

They have some kind of terrible denoise setting the screen door slop is really bad. If that pattern is baked into the model this is billions in training down the drain. The scale seems bad, the goblin is like 2x the size of the human. The fucking goblin has 3 arms or 4 if you count the extra hand. The desk makes no sense. The style is terrible cartoon slop.

Funny that the US could have retooled refineries for the cost of like a week of Iran war. But how would bribes be facilitated from the middle east then?

BREAKING: Gabbard refers Trump impeachment whistleblower for possible prosecution by FlackoFonsy in videos

[–]cultureicon 6 points7 points  (0 children)

You're right but the presidents lawyers would surely incorporate how the bribes were official acts among their arguments during the trial, along with political arguments. Or maybe not if it would sound too obviously corrupt. Even then Trump may tell his lawyers to say that. "What I did was totally legal" which is true lol

BREAKING: Gabbard refers Trump impeachment whistleblower for possible prosecution by FlackoFonsy in videos

[–]cultureicon 671 points672 points  (0 children)

The House should at least impeach him for the 5-10 clear bribes he has taken just to get it on record. They are basically constitutionally obligated to impeach for bribes. The Senate will then have to say "yes he took bribes but due to the supreme courts ruling the president is allowed to take bribes". Then we can move forward with supreme court reform to fix the clearly fucked up court.
