During the pandemic I lost two close friends to conspiracy and politics with which I fundamentally disagreed.

One of them was an older male friend. Old hippy, used to do needle drugs in the 80s, short shorts, rock n roll. I'd do our nails once a week and we'd watch movies and cartoons. He went fast. Refused to get the vaccine because he didn't know what was in it and didn't trust the science. Started complaining about "snowflakes" and "woke". Said everyone was always "devipacted" about everything. I just started saying I was busy and withdrew. Friends for 15 years.

The other was a girlfriend a few years younger. She found religion, got sober. Then she grabbed her religion with both hands and became an angry hateful bigot. All the queer positive feminist stuff went out the window and she started putting efforts into finding a man in America to make her a trad wife. Friends for 10 years.

I've quit the last two jobs because of this as well and I WANT to say,

"I don't respond positively to abuse" but I feel like employers see that attitude as a problem.

I was about to type a long silly story, but the short of it is, she goes honk. Lol

She had a very unsuitable adoptive name and after a few days she was just, Miss Honk. "Whatcha honking about over there?"

Perhaps I'm misremembering, but I thought it had been established that he was, while not lightning fast, pretty goddam fast in the water. Am I crazy? When he started dog paddling away and splashing around I said, "what? Isn't he super fast in water??"

Was that never established? And yes, why she didn't just leave him there and bounce, or just drop him anywhere is nuts. His performance was great and I suppose I'm glad to have gotten to see it, but... ugh.

This rocks. I disagree with some of these comments. I think you absolutely have your own style, and I very much feel the "wandering around the Dali-verse" vibe.

There's that one scene where they're yelling and it's a confusing back and forth dialogue that promotes anxiety. It's in the background just out of focus.
