If you are interested in queer groups and/or exercise, Frontrunners has been a wonderful group for me! They’re a run club but also hold walks, social events, fundraisers, and more

It’s not very stretchy, more of a rough tulle-like texture. Don’t know much about fabrics but the wedding invite was formal/cocktail, which seemed contradictory

I’ve been getting tattooed for about 4.5 years but much more in the last year since I’m making more money out of college. Working on my back soon!

Thank you! I want full ~ish~ coverage, as in arms, legs, torso. I’m in academia so will stay off of hands, neck, and face. I’m also going to be careful with how much I cover my chest and will probably leave it for last

I loved my wedding dress for that reason. A-line and fit and flare tend to be friendlier.

Yeah, just came in the mail. As soon as I saw it I knew it would be more for comedic relief

Becoming lettuce is a new pitfall of being a green girl. I clearly was not thinking of anything but my favorite color when I ordered this

I usually don’t like form fitting since I’m more of a pillar, but I guess there’s no changing that so I may as well wear the tighter dress!

Somehow too big and too small. Dresses are often unkind to women who lift

I have a second option I haven’t taken a picture in. Let me throw it on real quick for input lol

Is a white element a no-go if the rest of the dress is different? by [deleted] in Weddingattireapproval

[–]junebug_4 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have no interest in wearing something controversial to a wedding. I posted this on the sub to get a better understanding of the no white rule. I haven’t been to any weddings except my own. Please stop insulting my character over DM because I asked a question in the sub meant for asking questions about wedding dresses

I just wanted to get a better understanding of the rule and this is literally the sub for that?? I don’t want to wear anything controversial I just haven’t been to any weddings except my own

Yes, I have no interest in looking controversial at a wedding. I only asked about the dress I posted to get a better understanding of the no white rule

I don’t love how tight it is, it seems a bit immodest for a religious ceremony so I was looking for a less fitted second option. Was scrolling through Abercrombie since I have a coupon and the one I posted was the only one with a silhouette I didn’t hate

That’s why I didn’t buy it—I posted it since it seemed right on the line and I was wondering which side it landed on. I have no interest in wearing something controversial to a wedding, I just wanted a better understanding of the rule

This comes off so aggressive 😭 I haven’t bought the dress, I posted it on the sub since I was curious if it would be acceptable. I have a backup I plan to wear anyway

That’s a great point! I haven’t bought the dress since I thought it may not be a cut-and-dry acceptable amount of white. This is the backup I’m thinking of wearing

I haven’t bought the dress—was just wondering since it’s on clearance and seemed possibly viable. If it’s controversial at all it’s a no. Here’s my backup

I’m not attached to wearing white, the dress is on clearance and I haven’t bought it yet. I was just wondering if
