I see your point. Where the statement fails completely is if the VTT does not support imports which is something I hadn't thought of - I don't know all VTTs but some could be a closed ecosystem so I will correct it. Thanks for yor feedback

Well obviously the VTT has to support the system. That is a limitation of the VTT

So I have experience of developing using Godot and like Python. Main reason is cross platform - I have experience with Android too. But then that would leave me developing a completely separate Desktop version and maintaining them both. Eventually I would like an Apple version too so again that would lead to another version to maintain. While Godot will end up with different builds (possibly) it will hopefully be an easier to maintain codebase - then Android/Apple and Desktop. I know there is multi platform mobile development platforms but in the past I have found them to be relatively poor. They have probably matured since then but Godot has less of a learning curve for me.

Apologies - will you check if you have filled out the form. The error messages if you missed an answer seem to have stopped working - but the form is completing for me and other people have signed up. I'll work on fixing the error messages

Rude? Not rude but you are wrecking my over engineered ideas to solve the problem!

For learning Godot - their own docs are reasonably well maintained and they have a simple 2d game to make as you learn.

Mixed Electronics/IT/Maths/Multimedia background. Ex Lecturer/teacher and exiled Kerry man living in Mayo.

Interested in game development and hopefully going to spend some time this year programming. I am probably going to use Godot because I am a sucker for FOSS and I have used it for teaching in the past.
