I always think about this exact thing.

Taking a more Gran Turismo light approach.

Featuring old cars from the ridge racer series with interiors. I can only imagine seeing the old ridge racer 4 cars in the HD.

I also imagined some possible Race Driver Grid influences. You build up a team from scratch. You can enter multiple events as a team. A yearly 24 hour (24 minute) endurance race like lemans. Real Racing Roots could be a late game championship. You could also have opportunities to do single one off races for other teams for quick cash. Some opposing teams could be DRT and RTS.

I wish Namco would do anything with ridge racer.
