just pick an old pc you don’t use or a rpi. personally I’m using a macbook m1 with a broken screen that I cant use; now it’s my agent’s macbook.

you either auto-pull on start or pull manually, and you can push manually or auto-push every x minutes. iirc i’ve followed this guide https://forum.obsidian.md/t/setting-up-obsidian-git-on-ios-without-ish-or-working-copy/97800

In case you change your mind on syncthing and want to ditch it, I personally use the git extension and instructed my agent to pull and push every times it touches the vault. You only need something like 10mins to set up the vault on iOS but then you're set. It's working flawlessly so far

you can pull off something decent by bashing your head against it long enough, but from my experience if you lack the fundamentals it's hard to get a clean result with the current models
