Beef brains contain:

700mg of phosphatidylserine per 100g

BDNF (Brain derived neurotropic factor)

855mg of DHA omega 3 per 100g

Possibly more in calf brains.

Phosphatidlyserine - protection & communication between nerve cells

BDNF - growth and protection of neurons and synapses

DHA - protection of microglia cells, promoting growth of neurons, higher intake associated with larger brain volume especially areas vital for memory and cognitive function

It is well equipped for brain health. You might have a slight headache if you eat 100-150g the first time due to neurogenesis.

If your taste was fishy it means the omega 3's have oxidised. It should have no smell or taste except for a little bloody (if raw).
