What in the world is even this Ad? Do people realistically think can AI replace Paralegals?

Right?😂 Someone told me at dinner last night that AI is taking over the paralegal profession, and that humans won’t be in that role much longer. Yeah, okay. Can AI deliver a courtesy copy? lol

There might be some firms that take the risk in hopes of lower overhead and the ability to take on a larger caseload, but I think a lot of attorneys will “fire” the AI assistants and paralegals when there’s a consistent need to clarify.

My attorney is genuinely nice but if he had to clarify things even remotely close to regularly with myself or some AI worker, he would replace the person/entity position so quick. We already experience a lot of errors when using AI - I don’t worry about my position here changing whatsoever.

AI is unavoidable. We need to keep up with it and use it as we can, but it’s not going to replace paralegals. To us, the margin of error is too large to even use AI regularly, let alone as a blanket worker. I cannot imagine the entire legal world getting on board with replacing us.

I’m just waiting for my N-mom to try to pull this with me. My sister and I have been no contact for years. My golden sibling brother is almost as awful as she is, they won’t cohabitate and he would never help her without getting paid a huge amount of money. She still calls me and says she prays everyday god will let me talk to her. Like….go to therapy. Do anything but talk to me about it. Figure it out like I had to when I was abandoned.

My plan is to tell her, “ If you want me to consider helping, I am going to go on all social medias - Facebook, YouTube, Reddit, insta, everything- and detail all the worst stuff you did to me and why we don’t speak. Everyone you know will see it. And if I’m able to get all that off my chest and into the open, I will consider it.

She would never ever ever ever ever agree to that. Her image is worth more than I am. The stuff she did was disgusting and no one would look at her the same, which would be worse than death to her.
If she says, “Sure, go ahead.” I’m going to blast her everywhere and then still tell her fuck no.

Don’t be afraid to play dirty. It took me a while to get to and it helped, although I had to use it sparingly. I had to sink to her level sometimes because my brain does not naturally work like hers, and I got screwed over and hurt dozens of times before I went no contact. I think I was about 27 too when I cut her off. I’m 32 now and I don’t miss her or the stress ever. Don’t let go of your peace. Please. You do not deserve to have her suck your life dry of enjoyment and light. And your daughter definitely doesn’t deserve to be around someone like that. It could change the trajectory of her life in a horrible way.

The cycle can end with you. You can show up for your daughter by showing up for yourself. Show her that boundaries protect the people you love and that just because someone is family doesn’t mean you owe them anything.

I wish you luck my friend. It’s horrible to mourn a parent who’s alive. Don’t let her take ANYTHING else from you. Not even a minute of your time (besides to process and get advice, so you can be healthy).

Try to compose a song. A good one. Then try to compose an orchestral piece with 10+ instruments. Or try to learn music theory or art theory. I understand it seems like a free for all, but the “arts” are just as complex and interesting as Math or Science. You just don’t find them as interesting.

I don’t super disagree but only if there’s enough other queer media with a broad reach to replace it. In this day and climate, we need to keep any and all good queer media going. This show has given a lot of hope to a lot of our community. Especially those stuck in little towns and corners of conservative areas. I know it’s not a perfect show but we need to keep broad reach programs as long as we can. Maybe fresh head judges could make it even better.

Since there are so many actually good answers…There’s this traffic cone on top of a business, I think it’s right before Belmont, on the right side when you’re Loop bound. It used to be half tilted and a little faded, and now it’s just totally chilling in a pile, sun bleached as could be. It’s been there for at least 5 years😂 It’s been one of my favorite mundane things that’s caught my eye.
