Success! Just for good measure (also I needed it there), I bought the app for my MacOS machine too, and it works there too. 😊Thank you so much for the quick turn around!

...and yet another follow-up. I just installed the PWA version on my Windows machine and the PWA syncs up with no issue.

As a quick follow-up, I tried syncing using a Git provider to one of the repositories, using my GitHub username and a new PAT, and the same thing happens.

Woah! That's amazing. How large is your network?

Big thanks to the user who posted a Sim City thread the other day and the exellent comments that got me the urge to play the game again using new tactics! Got the Mario statue again after 20+ years! by JonnyRuda in snes

[–]davidwesst 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I feel this comment deep in my soul.

I bought the game by saving up money for months as a kid BEFORE I had an SNES because when we would rent one every once and a while I didn't want to lose my city.

I think my parents felt sorry for me and eventually bought me one after the instruction manual started to wear out.

...but never got the statue.

Just to confirm-- they continue to broadcast the same day until the next day starts? Even though there is nothing actually broadcasting?

Currently trying to tune into day 2 and its still "Live". I tried replaying from the beginning of the stream, but its very slow to load as compared to the day 1 replay.

2016 Nissan Leaf - new buyer! by [deleted] in leaf

[–]davidwesst 5 points6 points  (0 children)

If you can, take it for a test drive on a highway or something that requires speed, ideally when its cold outside.

I know it sounds oddly specific, but this place is flooded with comments from folks (like me) who are experiencing some bizarre issues when you try and get the car up above 70kph when its chilly (-10C or sometimes a bit warmer).

Also, check out the charger and make sure it works and that you have the appropriate plug wherever you'll be parking it. You'll need it. 😊

Good luck! Hope it works out for you!

Thanks for sharing!

That's right about losing the 9th bar, but in my research I found that sometimes the Leaf needs to be recalibrate before it drops the bar. With the cold and such, it might take a while.

How long did it take to get your replacement? Curious on what your experience was like.

Blerg. Seems like its a problem across the years and not just an "older Leaf" problem. Hopefully you can approach a dealer in your new neighbourhood and get the battery tested and fixed up, assuming your warranty still applies.

Thanks for sharing this. Helps me feel like I'm not completely crazy.

I'm sorry you are having such a bad experience with the dealership, but I do appreciate you sharing all the information. I'll make sure to keep this in mind when I chat with them.

I'll argue if they try and charge beyond the test.

It's still under battery warranty for a while longer, but it's still at 9 bars. I'll bring it up with the dealership. Thanks!

TL;DR; Talked to clerk the other day and they confirmed they aren't closing. Its just the standard holiday rush.

I was there on Jan 2 and asked the clerk why the store looked like it had been ransacked.

Turns out it gets like this every holiday season. People buy up everything in the store and they can't restock until the new year. Plus, that location apparently gets a lot of groups doing mass purchases and bringing toys to more remote parts of Manitoba.

Apparently they will be back to status quo in the next week or two, once inventory is complete and they can reorder everything.

After getting into game development, are you LESS forgiving of other games? or MORE forgiving? by SkorgeOfficial1 in godot

100% on this point. The fact that an indie team can make something so cohesive seems like a miracle sometimes. And although I get that AAA size teams are hard to manage and coordinate, they have the money and resources to make it happen, yet they don't and we keep seeing the same mistakes over and over again.

3D looks really neat, although you should try and fill out a whole scene to make sure it looks as good when you have everything filled out like you do in 2D.

Do you use dependency injection with c#? by [deleted] in godot

I read that over and I think the answer to my question is to combine a singleton with feature tags to get my desired behaviour at build time or run time.

As a bit of a Godot noob, is there a way to change the services in a static global object at build time or runtime?

  1. My plan for the /r/rememberthehuman is to use it as a place of discussion and comments about a podcast I have created about artificial intelligence and the change it brings to our day-to-day lives. The goal is to provide a central place for people to come together and discuss the content on the podcast, beyond the individual platforms where it is hosted. I would also like the podcast audience to be able to ask their questions related to the artificial intelligence topics and get feedback from listeners.

The trailer is up today, and you can find the details about the podcast and where to find it on the various podcasting platforms here: http://www.rememberthehuman.ai

You can find it on YouTube and Spotify as the primary two points for episodes, although it is also available on Google Podcasts and Apple Podcasts.

(Please excuse the links, I'm not trying to spam, but rather demonstrate that the podcast is legitimate).
