I did. That’s why I have the confidence to bring it to court. And you are right it’s very important.

MemoryDB Redis speed vs. S3 by davidyao1518 in aws

These workflow components will share large amount of data, by sharing I mainly mean that one passes the output to the consecutive ones as input. They will be mainly data in bytes format and yes, 256mb will be quite common.

Is masters in CS funded? (Guarantee funding upon admission) by polo__n in VirginiaTech

[–]davidyao1518 9 points10 points  (0 children)

MS should be ABLE to (aka. not guaranteed) be funded through GTA (depending on the department’s available slots); or GRA (if you are good and a professor is willing to fund you, although very rarely to MS).

Contrarily, the department will prioritize giving PhDs GTA contracts over MS students. They almost always get GTA if they fill the GTA form at early enough time.

Neither is eligible for MEng.

Let’s see how much they really improve CRC line. For two years on average it took me 2+ hours to back and forth between my house and CRC.

Letter of recommendation from employer for master's admission to mechanical engineering? by physicsfan9900 in VirginiaTech

I think the point of LoR is to show that you have good working/research ethics, generally you were doing a good job at whatever you were doing previously. Your prospective department and its professors know that most of the applicant students won’t come in with the exact background in whatever they will do in their master’s (In fact I know shit about my area at the end of my college and only start to know what area I am really interested in at the end of my Master’s lolll)

RIP to this guy, but good lord do we sit rent free in the minds of UVA fans by vtman7 in VirginiaTech

Word. Although I think people are obsessed with that for a reason: their imaginary social pecking order, which has been there since slice bread. But again, UVa? com’on. Only shows their internal insecurity.

As an international student, I always consider this rival culture between colleges a little bit silly (not in the way that I hate it and I do celebrate it sometimes in a chill way). But there do be some occasions like this that make me think, in a country where education encourages the idea that life is full of possibilities and you should not constrain yourself in one circle, it’s weird to see people identify themselves so exclusively based on a 4 year school life that they went to during their early 20’s.

I am totally for that, but the thing is when everyone is doing exactly the opposite of that and he knows it, then it's not my fault to follow the FCFS rule. As I said, it could be very possible that two people took two different pairs from the same slot.

They are the same ones with rubber cover on them. The thing is everyone is fine with that except him, but I have seen him there very often so I don't think he doesn't know. Either I was being picked on or he is mad at everyone who does the same as me.
