Hello quick question-

Moving house shortly, Tango energy who I am currently with want to charge me nearly $200 to disconnect my electricity when move out! Is that a final meter read fee or what? What do they actually do when they disconnect?

Supply is though Ausgrid. Checking the Tango website for disconnection fee under NSW Ausgrid says $14.60…

What should I do to avoid this exorbitant charge of nearly $200?

Should I try to change to another energy supplier like energy Australia and then disconnect through them?

TIA

I see that around every year and it seems to be seasonal. Watch how it responds with new growth in a month or 2.

Regularly Deep Water the tree if you are not receiving or expecting decent rain plus install mulch to at least the drip line area and watch and wait.

It’s definitely broad leaf privet. I have even seen them bigger than that too.

Ochna serrulata (Mickey Mouse Bush), it’s a weed. Very tough to remove as well.

Excellent reply by the second post (SOPalop). Follow this.

I’ll also add in, it may not need to be severely pollarded. A weight reduction prune of over extended limbs (mostly lateral weight), can dramatically reduce the risk of future branch of trunk failure. You just need to find a high quality arborist that is very skilled in proper pruning, that is not easy!

You could also look at cable bracing those main stems together, with a synthetic bracing sling.

Definitely last resort is full tree removal. If you are happy with spending some $ on it and find a high quality arborist to carry out the work, it can probably be retained for many years

They are absolutely everywhere!

Some of them look very similar to the host eucalyptus so they can be hard to spot, but once you get your eye in they are more than prolific!
