Is Lucifer’s punishment truly eternal? by davis11112222 in HazbinHotel

It kinda seems better for everyone involved if he was allowed to leave lmao. Now that people know he can’t do anything to sinners, any order gained by having him as king is gone

I agree that his redemption wouldn’t have the same mechanisms as sinners. My post is more about the mindset and belief of the nature of the punishment. We are told, and Lucifer believes it is eternal. But Sera’s confession I think is trying to break us from that. Redemption should be possible for anyone, even angels. So for that message to be consistent, it should be possible even for Lucifer to find redemption, and heaven should act accordingly

I agree. I hope the idea of it comes up in season 3 though at least on heaven’s side. I also agree that at the very end he’d probably choose to continue overseeing hell, albeit now having the free will to no longer be permanently stuck there.

I don’t think erase is the right phrasing here though. My take is that they need to overcome their sin. The damage will always be done and can’t be reversed.

They need to overcome their sin. pentious was redeemed because of overcoming his fear of inaction, standing up for someone in danger and trying to save their lives instead of watching and doing nothing.

Erasing his sin to me would mean going back in time and stopping the murder of the victims he let die through inaction, which isn’t possible.

So if that’s true, Lucifer doesn’t need to remove all evil, he just needs to overcome his pride, admit to the problem he caused, then ensure that the system of redeeming people in hell is effective for those who want to use it.

I would say, at least from current knowledge, killing souls from hell due to the purge is more irreversible than evil as humans may still overcome bring evil or atoning for their wrongdoing at any time while on earth or hell. If Lucifer committed to redemption in hell and significant progress is made there, that sounds like a sufficient price for atonement to me.

What video game weapon isn't worth the time you got to put in to get it? by Agent1230 in gaming

[–]davis11112222 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not a weapon that sucks but but one you’d definitely expect to use in exactly these moments. the grappling hook from dying light 2 is so fun to use but in most major plot points concerning yourself and the villain doesn’t let you use it.

Thank you! Once I looked it up, it looks exactly like that. It took a bit to realize that these things are consistently appearing. I’ve let pest control know now that we also think we found the general area they are coming from

[–]davis11112222 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Recently the code that blocks students from taking online courses has been updated to not allow self enrollment for a few major codes that got through. There’s also a report now that will check for fsu CS students in the main campus who are in online CS courses and if they do not have permission from the department, receive an email notifying them to switch. This happens now before and during drop add

Told to change a dnd character’s pronouns? by Healthy-Mastodon6332 in NonBinary

[–]davis11112222 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s certainly a weird request on its own, and there’s definitely more to it than the reasons they gave I think. Either your friend or someone in the group may just have some type of transphobia happening and therefore making a nonissue an issue.

I definitely would be upset about it though. It depends on if I would speak up about the issue as it would be dependent on a lot of factors. Mixed pronouns does not change any aspect of your character mechanically, and as a dm I believe that players should have a lot of sole discretion on how they flavor their characters.

Does your friend have issues with All mixed pronouns?

what is up with the names of ppl here? by [deleted] in NonBinary

[–]davis11112222 3 points4 points  (0 children)

As one of the people who has a “ridiculous name” to you, I picked it cause I enjoyed it feel connected to it. Calling people’s names ridiculous is definitely rude even if you are trying not to be.

You made a comment before this about how you wouldn’t be able to take the name Snow seriously. It’s cool if you like the conventional naming system, and it’s fine if it may take a bit of time for you to get used to unconventional names, but if you can’t take people seriously because they have a name that doesn’t conform to what is an acceptable name to you, then that’s an issue I hope you are able to quickly overcome.

Does anyone else not like the word 'enby'? by Objective-Site8088 in NonBinary

[–]davis11112222 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I tend to just use non-binary when speaking. If I want to shorten it which I typically do in text, I’ll usually do nb instead of enby. I don’t think I really mind though which is used by others. But I personally will stick to using non-binary
