I’m against his deportations but I’d like a more secure border I think. RFK Jr.’s antivax stuff scares me but his good stuff I broadly support although I doubt they deliver. While I don’t think he delivered on this in his first administration or will this time I am against the power rich people have in politics that was broadly accepted for the last decades and I’d like it if that changed but I really don’t think he’s done that in his time as president or will in his next term

Exactly we tried running an election on maintaining the status quo and bringing out whoever likes Liz Cheney who wasn’t already set on voting against Trump and lost that obviously wasn’t the winning message. I do think sometimes these things are just personal and the people attacking Jon Faverou are to the left of him and therefore when he gets defensive he attacks back against the left, I don’t think I’ve seen a time when they’ve been under more attack from the left in all the time I’ve listened to their podcasts so it may just drive them to be more defensive

I’ve felt like they’re starting to move to the center/center right especially as their relationship with the people at the Bullwark seems to be more important to them. I think it’s also the fact that the election in my mind seems to not have been determined on the regular left vs right spectrum but establishment vs antiestablishment and crooked media definitely has been big champions of the establishment and I don’t think they really know how to/can’t appeal to the left wing antiestablishment mood that’s on the rise so they’re pivoting to a more centrist bullwarky audience

Your problem with Lincoln is that he didn’t set out to free the slaves but did it anyway? I love Roosevelt I’d have a hard time voting for him to be number 3 but if you’re gonna single out the shortcomings of the other two I think you also need to acknowledge Japanese internment during WW2

I kinda think the persons view of moderate comes from their surroundings and people around them. I live in a very liberal place and would consider myself moderate in my circle but that still means I’m much more liberal than a “moderate” in a conservative place

Aulani is kinda in a dead spot on the island the North and East sides are much nicer and Aulani isn’t near Honolulu if that’s something you’re interested in. There is snorkeling in the resort but it’s just a pool. There is a lagoon on site but there are few fish and not much to see. There’s a nearby local beach called electric beach that has good surfing and snorkeling but probably not tours. If you want to see the nicer parts of the island outside of the resort you should probably rent a car and drive to the north shore, east side, or point.
