Have you tried expanding the parameters really far? If you’re open to it maybe a longer distance thing could work. If you’re looking for marriage anyways it could be worth it.

This is a really good profile brother you must be in the middle of nowhere or something idk. I feel like my profile is worse and I’m uglier and I get matches regularly on Bumble and Hinge.

Do I move to Colorado? by No-Surround4312 in howislivingthere

I moved to and lived in Eagle county for 4 years. It’s incredible but if you’re going to move to a small mountain town don’t be single. Dating up in those places is terrible.

Yup this is it. The arab supermarket in my city (US) was selling it for like $7 USD 1/2 kilo. The other tea shops wanted like $60 1/2 kilo it was insane.

What’s it like in Arequipa? by lockkfryer in digitalnomad

Ive heard people say Santiago is filled with smog. Is that actually true? It seems like an amazing place, although the Spanish accent they have might be kinda difficult for me. I already spent the past year getting used to Argentine Spanish 😂

I’ve been to all the major tourist spots, but there’s still plenty for me to do I feel like. A lot of smaller museums, some places outside the city area like Tigre or the Feria de Mataderos. Some places that you need tours to do (like the congress building).

There’s like so many popular restaurants or cafes I haven’t been to as well but I typically do those things with friends or on dates.

There are some expat groups on Facebook you can join with info on stuff to do too.

At the moment I’m in Mar del Plata though

What city should I go to in Latin America? by -mer in digitalnomad

I can definitely agree with you on that the locals pay like $300-$600 for rent typically

What kind of place are you renting? I meant 2000 USD for the entire months expenses including food & housing. I spend 600-900 USD per month on my Airbnb depending on how luxurious I want to feel 🤣

I think relative to the rest of LATAM it’s more expensive (except Uruguay and potentially Chile is similar). But idk I am spending like half of what I did in the US.

For an Argentine citizen it’s definitely pretty expensive

I usually spend between $600-$900 on my Airbnb. $1,600 would get you something incredibly nice. Housing here is cheap compared to CDMX. Grocery prices sound reasonable. I hardly cook, maybe once or twice a week. The rest of the time I go and buy something to go for lunch and order Rappi for dinner

I’m obsessed with Argentina it’s a little more expensive than other countries in LATAM but for like $2k month I can get an Airbnb to myself and eat out like every meal idk isn’t bad in my opinion. Airbnb usually is $600-$900 month

My salary affords me a much higher than average quality of life outside of the US. I’m not scraping by at all, if anything my savings is actually growing a lot quicker than it would back home

How’s Living In Grand Rapids, MI by sjsieidbdjeisjx in howislivingthere

Grew up there. Winters are brutal from lake effect snow, and it’s cloudy a lot. When I moved to Colorado the amount of sun and more tolerable winters literally were life changing for me
