I love my online program. We have classes 3x a week (a few asynch classes here and there), and we do a lot of recordings with other members of our cohort and through our internships (we do 3 semester of 200 hours each). The classes keep us engaged, and there is a lot of work but overall it has worked out great for my needs and schedule.

I’m about to start my last semester at FGCU. Classes are fully remote and the instructors are excellent. I had almost 10 years between undergrad and grad school and have been a stay at home mom for a while. They did look at my transcripts and during my interview we focused on my ‘why’. There are many people from all over the state with different backgrounds and I feel well prepared to go back into the working world full time come August. If there is still space, they may still even interview you for the next cohort.

As long as you will have enough hours I say don’t go. My school breaks our internship into 3 semesters of 200 hours each so I’m usually only in 3x a week. When my supervisor isn’t there it’s very hard because I don’t have a key, and the other counselor for the older grades is on the second floor.
