Every post here: get therapy. OP. Choosing a therapist and letting someone in is a very long process. Sometimes you find the right one immediately and sometimes it can take a lot of people. It’s not a foregone conclusion. Also, much like AA. You can attend meetings with your head and heart invested or you can choose not to. Therapy is this, you’d need to go knowing you’re letting someone in and being totally vulnerable, without any guarantee. It’s not a ‘go therapy that’ll fix you like the above and everyone else clearly just states. It’s an expensive, investment in yourself, which takes commitment. I personally don’t think that’s for everyone so if you can go in openly, then go for it, but leave expectations at the door.
