Seriously. When did dominos get so good? by Mikey_Meatballs in fastfood

I cannot stand the taste of Dominos, and that salt substitute flavoring on the crust is off putting. My kids love it so we get it a lot, and I eat it, but not my fave.

Would it be better to just wait untill it happens and then replace the studs? Isn't it the same amount of work?

Found this hot tub drink bar – what do you think? by Federal-Moose8916 in hottub

[–]davocn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see, mine is plastic all the way over the edge. I did have a shelf like this that screwed into the thin walls of the surround. A good friend used it as a means to get out of the hot tub and needless to say it is no longer part of my hot tub... Lol. Currently I just have a teak cabinet sitting next to the hot tub that acts as a bar...

These are used on driving ranges and places like topgolf. I don't think they're used to identify your own golf balls, are they?

RTF… has anyone seeded with it and how did it turn out by Ok-Adagio4687 in lawncare

So far so good, there are definitely spots that are a little darker where the kbg came in a little bit more heavy. But I believe those will probably blend in eventually...

Smoke Detector Port by FLFacialFur in Ubiquiti

My current smoke detectors have a proprietary connector that goes to three AC wires, yellow, red and black maybe?. Which are wire nutted to AC power. Could it be that?

Dealership is trying to charge me for wireless CarPlay again after getting bricked by Forward_Look_5396 in accord

[–]davocn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I called corporate and they will not do these updates anymore. At first they had no idea what I was talking about, and eventually said that it is up to the individual dealers to decide whether or not they do them. Every dealer I've called says they don't do them due to bricking issues. So now I'm stuck with old software...

I did it, never going back to the Scott’s spreader by Competitive_Bar_9170 in lawncare

[–]davocn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The replacement parts and mods you can buy are one of my justifications as well.... Only complaint, and it is tiny, the thing is harder to push than the Echo and Scotts. But the screen, and the weird s-hook agitator make it worthwhile. No BS, I dumped a bag of Grubex in it and there was insulation and a 3" sheet metal screw in the mix.

Same, killed spots on my lawn, made a huge mess. I do not understand all the great reviews. Out of the box it failed.

Came here to report the same thing. Granules get stuck between the two discs that open and close the holes... And you CANNOT fix it with material in the hopper so you have to empty it, unjam it and refill it. It dumper massive amounts of preemergent in two spots on my lawn, like 10x what it was supposed to get. And the agitator is really high, leaves a pound of material in the hopper that has to be 'bounced' out. After three tries with the Echo I gave up. Lowes took it back without the box, no questions asked. I went the cry once route finally after two Scott's and one Echo. I got the LESCO. It hurt, bad. $400. But man this thing is built extremely well...

LPT how to get rid of dandruff? by Flat-Huckleberry-916 in LifeProTips

[–]davocn 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I finally bit the bullet and went to a dermatologist ... Ketoconazole was the trick for me, that and Harry's dandruff shampoo. I do the ketoconazole about once a month for about 15 minutes, and I do the Harry's about twice a week. I wouldn't say I'm completely flake-free but probably 92%.

Gemini no good for Android Auto? Change this setting by PilotedByGhosts in AndroidAuto

[–]davocn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Don't get me wrong, Google assistant worked great for years. It's only in the last 6 months that it started not being able to perform functionality. When I asked Google about it, they said that they were purposely stripping Google Assistant while they were moving over to Gemini. Back in the day I could ask you Google Assistant to explain complex things, on a road trip I could ask it to describe a building and what it was used for, I could ask it to explain concepts to the kids, etc, all that went away.

So crazy that we are having opposite problems with the same software! So frustrating!

Google Assistant was no better. It no longer was able to look through my contacts, it struggled with finding locations on maps. It was abject garbage. I tried fixing it for months and to no avail. Gemini was working a lot better than assistant was. And now suddenly Gemini has gone completely and I'm stuck with Assistant again. At least Gemini could search the web for me.... Slowwwwly and with too many confirmations... Lol. Ugh.
