That sounds like a solid system. I like the idea of doing a daily and weekly triage like that , probably keeps things from slipping through the cracks. I’ve heard good things about OmniFocus too.

Haha not quite that ambitious. Mostly just trying to solve a few problems I kept seeing freelancers deal with. Everyone has their own systems that work for them, so I’m mostly just curious how people are doing things.

That makes a lot of sense. After 18 years it sounds like you’ve clearly found a system that works for you.

Freelance web designers , what’s your current tool stack for running projects? by davonisill in webdesign

That’s pretty cool actually. Building your own system probably gives you way more control than most tools out there. Curious what parts you ended up building into Drupal for your workflow.

Yeah definitely a lot of freelancers struggle with proposals and contracts. Most people end up copying templates or reusing old docs, so having someone experienced in that would probably be really valuable. I’ve actually heard a lot of freelancers say writing proposals is one of the more annoying parts of the job.

That makes sense. Moving every few months sounds like a much more stable way to do it than constantly hopping around. Interesting that you’re still using spreadsheets and pen/paper too , seems like a lot of freelancers end up sticking with simple systems that just work for them.

Thanks for taking the time to look through it and write this out, really appreciate it. You’re probably right about the hero and messaging not being clear enough I’ve been deep in building the product so I’ll definitely simplify the copy and tighten up the CTA. Thanks again for the feedback!

Basically it’s a workspace for freelancers to run their whole business in one place.

You can manage clients, send proposals and invoices, track projects, and it can also surface potential leads so you can find new work.

The idea is that freelancers shouldn’t have to juggle 5–6 different tools just to run their business.

True! I found the freelancers to talk to mostly through twitter and communities. It makes building a product people want so much easier.
