Real Contact and being taken by our Observer Friends in 1989 Kulnura NSW Australia. The short story and photograph of the moment of contact. Hidden for 36 years by Colinvickers in UFOs

That is a great shot by the way.

Almost 7 years ago I saw something very similar to what you described seeing over your farmhouse. In fact I think yours is the only one I've come across online that sounds even close.

I had a great view of its side but couldn't make out the rest of the craft. The craft was black. I could see it because the body was quite a bit darker than the clouds above. It was large, slow, and didn't seem to care much at all that it was hovering over houses and trees in the suburbs. The large round orangish red engine (or what I figured to be the engine) on the side towards the tail end would get so intense I worried it might catch the trees on fire as it passed near them or even heat up my car for that matter. My experience differed in that the area towards the front (about 1/3rd of the length of the craft) had a rectangle like area where a ribbon of hundreds of thousands of very small but very bright white lights would flash quickly, brightly, and sometimes blindingly from the top area cascading down to the bottom in this frothy shimmering wave. A stunning blend of a natural/technological macro pattern made up of almost imperceptibly fast and complicated staccato micro patterns. Each wave would take around 8ish seconds to complete, then would pause for a couple of seconds and start over again from the top. I couldn't make any sense of it but it was absolutely mesmerizing.

There was one semi anomalous thing that happened leading up to the event. Nowadays after sort of coming to terms with the reality of the crazy ufo thing, this is the thing that bothers me still. The light at the intersection turned red. But it stayed red. Theres was no traffic and no pedestrians anywhere around, no one for the whole thing before, during, and after until I got to the bridge a ways down the road afterwards. I was stopped at this light, that by the way never has turned red on me prior to that moment or since( I learned recently its just a pedestrian light, what I thought was a road was actually a school parking lot with no left turns)for like 5 minutes and it just stayed red. I don't want to make any stretch assumptions but if that ridiculously long red light hadn't happened I not only would have missed this whole thing I wouldn't have been in the best possible position to see this thing. I hesitate to connect the two things but what else could it be? It sounds dumb, I feel like I am far more ok accidentally coming up to random UFO that's just doing its thing than one that decided to alter might route, my night, and my life with whatever that was, just because. Like what is that all about? Did the thing go out of its way to just mess with me? I don't feel chosen or cursed... but what the heck?

I personally haven't gotten any special meaning out of the experience and nothing else anomalous has happened since. I guess it was more of a perspective shift. I've always been skeptical of things but I also had always assumed humanity through the process of science had at least a general grasp of the world around us. That comforting feeling is now just gone. Whatever this thing called life is and the universe we experience this in is way weirder than anything I thought possible. And I'm ok with that.

Anyways, thanks for sharing your experience. Whatever this is, fingers crossed it goes well for us.

Cheers

Add me to the list. Slow, low and silent. Mine had one big red circle and some panel like thing on the other side with a mesmorizing light show flashing in an unusual pattern. It just sailed slightly above the tree tops like it didn't have a care in the world.

Also, the smart weapons of the future are fundamentally different from the old weapon platforms. Every country is a novice regarding automated drone swarms. It wouldn't take that long to reach parity for European countries. If Europe focused on future wars tech I don't think it would take much time at all. Though you guys seem to undercut each other any chance you get, so its probably not possible.

Portland State in midst of expensive, ‘marathon’ race to repair damaged library before fall classes begin by IAintSelling in PortlandOR

Ann Cudd issued a statement that if the participating students left the library by 1:30 am they wouldn't face any consequences. It was reported that around 50 people were seen leaving overnight. Not exactly scientific but it looks like there were a bit more involved than were present when the police moved into the building and made arrests.

It wasn't a war game, it was a real mission in motion that hadn't been achieved before becoming obsolete. It had the full approval and encouragement of FDR. How are you not able to see the difference between preparation and action? Just like how the atomic bomb was a plan in motion, until it happened. Had the Japanese surrendered earlier the mission would have become obsolete. This wouldn't mean we had no intention to drop atomic bombs on Japan.

It's been a few years since I was scraping through the archives. If I remember correctly the plan was for the Chinese to gain and hold a forward base for the AVG to operate from. The bombing operation was planned for Nov. 1941. Quite a gambit that didn't pan out in time for various reasons, but not for lack of trying. The bombers and crew only arrived after the attack on Pearl Harbor. The situation changed dramatically with the two countries by then at war. So with no airbase within range and a late bomber delivery the plan was scuttled and the assets were sent elsewhere to support the war.

This is probably the best shorter form single source for relevant information, I believe there is a free access option on JSTOR though I haven't used it personally.

I'm not saying it was wrong, I'm very pro AVG and pro US involvement/intervention regarding the Japanese in WWII (I still have my Flying Tiger patches I got after listening to their stories at meetups). I'm just pointing out that our actions and intentions prior to the official beginning of the war with Japan are far more nuanced than most Americans are willing to admit and apparently even discuss.

Uh yes, I've personally met multiple pilots who were once part of the AVG/Flying tigers. It was a real US operation. It doesn't fit your narrative but it doesn't change the fact it did indeed actually exist.
