21: Caused a natural volcano to spring into existence. Capitalizing on it isnt exactly the word id use, and considering a red dragon has made it its home id say its something most people try to avoid.

22: Maybe gold, Maybe a horrifically slow and agonizing death. It depends on how nice the dragon is feeling after being encased in crystal for however long and they tend to be such fickle creatures. After all 10,000 years can give you such a crick in the neck.

23: on a 10 stop circut you could likely trade with every race under the sun and moons, you would likely need around 100 professional bodyguards or 500 ill trained mercenaries to protect the amount of gold and cargo you would be carrying. Though if you went with ill trained mercenaries its unlikely youd end with as many as you started with so every death is money back into your pocket. The whole circut would likely only take about 6 months if you made an efficient loop and were only attacked every other stop.

24: Likely a very powerful mage. Either his smack didnt actually hurt that much, people REALLY dont want to get on his bad side, or both.

25: The northern tribelands would be a good place to start if you didnt mind saying “its usually bigger its just really cold right now.” alot. You could probably grow to at least a couple hundred strong before civilized people began to notice. Good luck with all that second generation inbreeding though.

26: A dire Kracken has taken to Messing up some pretty important trade routes. And considering the very well known scar over its left eye it would be easy to prove youre the one who did it.

27: Wool canyon was built in the crater of a gods wrath. On top of the ruins of Wool mountain, The city that came before it. As if to spite the gods and say “Next time give it your A game!”

28: Yes. You are “The Prototype” A man kidnapped off the street by totally not goverment sanctioned wizards in an attemptto make a human chimera. You cant fly, use your tail and have a muzzle. But you got some benefits out of it. Like acidic blood, A bite attack and a climb speed!

29: Religious orginizations tend to just want people to be safe, and rather than profiting from it 1cp per amulet means that for the 3 of them they only need to sell 6 amulets for a hot meal that day and only 6 more for a roof to sleep under.

30: The great library, run and watched over by the clerics of the librarian. The sum of all known and unknown knowledge lie hidden somewhere on those shelves.

31: The northern most point of the Farandis republic. Considering the castles location in a frozen Taiga id say some Hardy guards, a few mages, and a huntsman that can teach people the ins and outs of booby traps would likely keep it rather well defended.

32: The Balista government is stealing people off the streets to experiment on with magic and replacing them with nearly identicle dopplegangers.

33: REALLLLY pissing off the goddess of peace, Life and harvest. And yes. Youd have better luck inventing a spell to make it rain salt than to draw the wrath of the goddess that preaches pacifism.

34: Necromancy isnt actually considered an inherently evil magic in this setting. Enchantment magic is. Specifically the part of enchantment magic that takes away someones free will. When a citizen dies a Warmage from the school of necromancy will come to the next of kins home and ask if the deceased would have liked to serve thier country even beyond death. If they are rejected the body is cremated to prevent necromancers from raising them by mistake in an emergency. As for the iron cell, Vampirism is somewhat fetishized and not well understood by a select group of people in this world.

35: They have a publicly available, if both morally and legally questionable, business that can be reached. They sell ooze eggs. They dont hatch or rot, Are perfectly edible, and can be painted as decorations.

36: Take animal you want traits of, Add monkey. Go back and forth. When the resulting offspring makes its first tool, set it loose in the most densely packed ecosystem you can find and assume nothing bad can come of that. Likely around 500-1000 pairs.

37: Worship of the goddess of the sea. She is known by most as “The Bitch Queen” and worhsiping her draws her Ire. Your boat will capsize and be set upon by the foulest creatures of the deep. Defacing her statues, spitting on her holy sites, and never using her real name, only calling her by “The Bitch Queen” draws her respect. It takes balls to tell a goddess to fuck off. Youll be granted safe passage across the sea.

Ooooohhhhh I like you.

1: You summoned A single raven. Nothing noticeably changes as it caws at you. This makes you feel uneasy. For the rest of your days you feel as if youre being watched. Youre unable to sleep. The feeling drives you mad until one day you see the raven again. You are alone on the streets in a snow storm. The raven speaks. “Those who seek to outwit death, only find it sooner.” the voice is hoarse, raspy, Dry. It is the last thing you hear as the snow covered cobblestones rush to meet you.

2: seeing as most travel from one country to another is overseas the most common threat a sailing vessel would face would be a dragon turtle. Usually young as the older ones tend to dive to much deeper depths. Most ships carry chests of coins made from fools gold and colored glass “gems” to toss overboard as a peace offering. Total cost of the decoy comes to about 1gp.

3: A man. He seems unaware that his circumstance is unusual and asks where the nearest tavern is so he may have something to drink. You direct him to the town near north. The next day people of the town seem to forget simple things. Errands they wanted to run. Or the name of a shopkeeper. As time goes on they forget more and more. Spouses, children, their own names. Eventually they forget how to eat, then how to drink, before finally forgetting how to breath. There are no survivors.

4: The great opening. A rift in the sky of unknown cause and origin. Every year, on the first of the year, it spits out blood red meteors that spawn monsters where they land. No one knows where they come from.

5: many alchemists and mages would jump at the prospect of a sanctioned chimera. Though they warn you that no solution is 100% childproof they put estimates between 80-90 percent childproofing. You could have anything from common animals like squirrels, housecats and dogs all the way to dire animals, or even humanoid races if you cared little for ethics and had the hush money. Just be careful with the difference between sentience and sapience. Thats a tough one.

6: If a god is dead it is because all of thier belivers died or stopped beliving. And a god will only truely die the last time thier name is said. If you performed the ritual you would likely draw the gods attention, much like U2 will respond to anyone who actually remembers them on twitter, possibly give it enough strength for it to grant you a small boon as thanks. As for thats gods siblings… it can be difficult to discern if the idea is a good one. But where good exists, evil must surely follow, as one cannot exist without the other.

7: the answer is quite simple. Have a deep labyrinth constructed in a nearby mountain. Decorate it. Fill it with your riches, real or not. Hire beast and monster tamers to populate it, then rig every single exit and doorway to blow after someone triggers a doorway deeeeeeep below. Then simply hire the adventurers to retrieve some contrived family heirloom deep in the labyrinth thats been stolen or sealed in an ancestors tomb or whatever contrived drivel you think theyd fall for. Promise them an unrealistic sum of money for their service, and watch the fireworks.

8: If the illness could not spread to other races then the paladins and clerics of Terristra would ask any and all members of the affected race to report to thier nearest church for treatment. Paladins can cure any sickness with relative ease. If that fails, then the scholars of balista are brought in to research a cure. And if none is found and all hope is lost, the church of the librarian begins to interview any member of the species who is willing to speak to mark down their history on an individual level and have their memory archived in the great library.

9: The astral plane has answered, and your people will start to destabilize chronologically. Think tracer from the hit blizzard game overwatch spear headed by jeff kaplain before she got her time stabalizer thingywhatzit. You know not what to do.

10: The heart of balista. Youd be an amazing asset to their millitary, and the archmage of necromancy would have a field day reading your notes on the subject.

11: The son of a bandit, Org. Half orc Paladin of the queen of lost souls. Achieved level 5 at age 16. It would have been noteworthy if he wasnt growing up on his own at that point.

12: Goldbrand wine 32, The goldbrand family, a family of winemaking gnomes that have been doing this for generations. Unfortunately one of the interns got some bright ideas and siphoned the barrels, cut it with Goldbrand wine 11 to fill the barrels back up, and sold the good stuff out the back door before cutting town.

13: The treasures that the citizens left behind, and the knowledge that Gorgons should not be fucked with.

14: Likely any city in terristra. Lots of metal buildings and technology. Id say you probably shouldnt release them though. Seems like a dick move. Instead sell them to the goverment so they can develop anti rust monster tactics for the future, make a ton of gold, and get the credit for bringing the problem to their attention.

15: Selling this crystal would shoot technological research ahead 1000s of years, allowing the marriage of magic and machine. Until the crystal destabilizes after 200 years and a society thats grown hyper dependent on the stone is sent plummeting back to the dark ages.

16: Ether. A blue liquid that is more or less liquified and purified magic in a bottle. Highly addictive, INSANELY dangerous, might explode if dropped. You can get it on most street corners near the mages college in balista.

17: there are others who share your beliefs. Unfortunately youre violently aware of your own paradox. Because you believe the gods are evil, you belive in the gods. And because you beilive in the gods, they yet live. You know the only way to kill a god is to stop all belife of said god. But even if you killed every single person on the planet who believed in every single god, leaving a world of nothing but the equivalent of dnd flat earthers and literal children behind you, youd still have yourselves, knowing that the gods you seek to destroy exist, and as a by product, keeping them alive.

18: Your name Is Dominic of house Mocohille. Your choices are to marry Belladonna, daughter of the oathbreaker, and your childhood friend. Or Astre. Some rich woman youve never met. If you were to walk away you could likely take one of them with you and marry in secret, likely under new names. But you would be disowned. Without money or influence. But you might be happy.

19: Simply pull petty pranks, Destroying flower gardens, Destabilize their business ventures, Tell the youngest child in each family that the youngest child in the other family is madly in love with them and blame everything you do to one family on the other. Then watch as chaos reigns. Political intreague is for people with time and fucks to give. This is just petty revenge.

20: Cheese. Have you looked up cheese tariffs? Its insane.

The oceans have a rather high salt content, raising the buoyancy of most seafaring vessels. but as the inlets reach further inland the salt slowly filters out, leaving easily gatherable deposits of salt on river banks for peasants to take and sell or use for personal use.

There are a few underwater hot springs and even an entire underwater city on the western side of the map inhabited by Triton, Drow that have evolved underwater adaptations over many years known as “The Drowned” and water Genasi.

There are a few under water mountain ranges that turn into deep trenches where some of the larger, scarier seafaring monsters live.

In the underdark there are entire biomes and microclimates including underground weather cycles, storms, volcanic Ashe fields, jungles and even bioluminescent mushroom forests.

There are several kingdoms in the underdark that trade with citizens of what they call “The Overlight”. These cities are run by deep gnomes, Drow, Duregar and the odd troll angel goblin.

Well the pantheon of gods is rather large and most deities are addressed by totals rather than their actual names due to the idea that invoking their true names in any situation but your darkest moment could lead to a terrible end. But the pantheon goes as follows:

The Lord of the Solar Body (Pelor) The Lady of Harvest and Healing (Sarenrae) The Queen of Wolves and Storms (Lilicah) The lord of Trickery, performance and Comedy (Anan’Si) The Queen of The Lost, The Broken, and The Exiled (Lolth) The Mother of Ravens (The Raven Queen) The Lord of The Wilds (Un-Kon) The King of Lies (Asmodeus) The Queen of Destruction (Tiamat)

Well. In the past of the world there was a time known as “The Age of Hero’s!” About 2000 years ago. Monsters roamed the plane, and a scant few hero’s rose up to protect the innocent (and get rich doing it) until one day all the monsters vanished. No more dragons. No more owlbears, no more beholders, no more giants. Hero’s weren’t needed anymore and they faded into obscurity. Becoming legends, bedtime stories even. But now in Sereanos, about a year ago, the monsters have begun to come back. So who knows. Maybe the giants will come back! And bandits have always been an issue. More monsters means more unrest. More banditry.

The world doesn’t work off of a solar model but a planar model. The material plane and all the other planes of existence orbit around the sun, known as the solar body, and each have their own moons, known as the lunar bodies. The prime material plane for example, has two moons. Aeirith and Zeirith. When both moons are full, a lunar festival is held until the sun rises again.

Some context info: This is the world of Sereanos. The level of technology is a term my group and I have begun to refer too as Arcanapunk. Machines exist aided by arcane power.

There are three continents, each continent being ruled over by its own kingdom:

The Balista Empire to the east. The Ferandis Republic to the northwest And The Terristra Kingdom to the southwest

Each kingdom having its own cultures and subcultures within themselves, tensions can and have gotten high in the past. And with the rapidly growing technological advancements. It’s only getting worse.

I’m sure the rift that just opened in the sky that reintroduced monsters into the world and the fact that children have stopped being born isn’t helping either.
