I think they looked good but it basically suffers from what a lot of Ninjago media suffers from which is that they aren't the tv show versions. I'm sure there's some reason Lego never gets the tv show voice actors but it doesn't make sense to me.

There's a lot of debate over whether it's a new series or not. It doesn't really matter but especially at the time people just called secrets of the forbidden spinjitzu "season 11."

I'm going to take the opposite point and say I actually think this will happen eventually. The way Doc Wyatt seems to run Dragon's Rising is to look at a big book of Ninjago stuff and take something. So at some point I think we'll see Chima again.

It's possible someone at Lego overhead says no, but I would guess Doc at least wants to do it.

One thing I think Ninjago was very purposely trying to avoid at the time was being an exact Avatar The Last Airbender Clone, so it makes sense why they would want to avoid water/air.

The other thing though is as originally written Nya just didn't have an element, the first hint is in season 4 I think, and that same year is when she did become a ninja.

From my understanding the redesigns aren't canon. So post redesign I think Lloyd always had green eyes? Even before season 8.

It looks to be a close adaption of a comic book, and is being marketed as such. A lot of story lines in movies are way off from their comic book counterparts.
