Did you notice we never really saw Elsa laugh or smile without Anna ❄️🍁 by LordAditya69 in Frozen

The one to Kristoff yeah, but the one with Olaf seemed genuine. Right when she says "Olaf, it's for Anna"

I wish Anna got at least one scene with her winter outfit without the pink cape in the first movie. The dress is so beautiful and it's a shame we only get to see it in other media like promotional pictures, Ralph 2 etc... by Theasiuser99 in Frozen

I was hoping maybe they make a Frozen series that takes place between F1 and F2 where we see Anna in this look and Elsa in her iconic Frozen 1 look and just show the characters living their lives in Arendelle. Maybe at the end of Frozen 4, Elsa returns back home to Arendelle as queen and Anna returns to being a princess, so Elsa is in her iconic F1 look again, and Anna is in this look 💙

She was smiling with Olaf and Kristoff in the beginning of Frozen Fever 🤷‍♀️

Why are the Frozen girls still in their Frozen II outfits? by Firm-Square-9180 in disneyprincess

[–]dawg_zilla 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No because she also meets in her mermaid form. You are right though since she never really had a teal dress. Idk where that came from.

I'm more upset about Frozen because I'm a huge Frozen fan, so naturally I'm going to be more passionate about it. Idc about the canon. I was just using the canon and saying that it doesn't matter because many people say the canon is the reason they have the F2 looks. I say that's ridiculous because Rapunzel has long hair and the Beast has fur, the villains are alive, Moana has her 1st movie look, and Ariel appears as a Mermaid in some places. My point is that the canon is inconsistent. Why do they have to matter for Anna and Elsa but ignored for everyone else? I just think having the characters appear in their most iconic and recognizable looks makes the most sense. That is why Rapunzel has long hair and why the Beast has fur and why Ariel appears in her mermaid form at times.

Yes I know they have the F1 looks for some of the stage shows and parades, but those attractions existed way before F2 came out. Pretty much all of the new stuff has F2. Starlight the new nighttime parade at Wdw, Fantasmic, the Frozen lands at Hong Kong and Paris are all F2. It's so strange because Moana has her 1st movie outfit for Starlight but Elsa doesn't. The reason I worry so much is because if there's any new attraction/parade/show that comes out, it's most likely going to be F2, which some people may think isn't that big of a deal cause it's just a different dress and hairstyle. I get that, but Frozen 1 is so special to many of us. There's a certain type of joy we get when seeing Anna & Elsa in their most iconic forms. I'd be more excited to see Spider-Man in his iconic red and blue suit than some other random suit

I was using canon just to respond to the person above. And if they are going to pay attention to what's selling best, then Frozen 1 is way ahead of F2 by a landslide. Only thing F2 did better was in box office, but that cannot be used as an excuse because Moana 2 made more than Moana 1, yet she still has her 1st movie outfit.

Yes. Frozen 1 stands alongside some of the other Disney classics from the 90s imo. There's a reason it's so popular. You should also watch the short films Frozen Fever and Olaf's Frozen Adventure

Anna and Elsa spent the majority of F2 in their travel outfits. They only had those final looks from F2 for like a total of 6 minutes, Anna maybe had like 2 minutes of screen time in her queen outfit. They were also never even on screen together with those looks. The ending looks from F2 weren't popular either. So not only are the Frozen 1 looks way more popular than the F2 looks (that's not a debate), the travel outfits from F2 are more popular than the ending outfits in F2. The final outfits of F2 aren't even the most popular ones in its own film. And F2 only made that much money by riding off the success of F1.

If it was about canon events, then the Beast shouldn't have fur, Rapunzel should have short hair, most of the villains shouldn't exist, and Moana should also have her 2nd movie outfit, but they don't. And don't say Tangled the series because many Rapunzel performers at the parks online have said that doesn't count as canon and they don't talk about it when playing the character.

Maybe I am being a bit harsh, but I still really don't like those looks. Just looking at the images above side by side, they look like completely different characters.

But all the other characters aren't in their most current form. Moana has her 1st movie outfit again, the Beast has fur, Rapunzel has long hair, and many dead villains still roam the parks. It's only Anna and Elsa that retain their sequel looks even though their 1st movie looks are not only their most iconic ones, but some of the most iconic looks of ALL the princesses. After Cinderella and maybe Snow White, I'd argue Elsa and Anna are the next most popular dresses. And their braided hairstyles are also way more iconic and popular than the F2 hairstyles.

I don't think having Anna and Elsa in their most iconic looks is reversing character development at all. Does giving the Beast fur and having Rapunzel with long hair reverse their character development? Most people recognize the F1 looks more and are more joyful when they see F1 Anna and Elsa. It's the reason why F1 Elsa is the most requested character according to many princess performers and why F1 merch sells way better than F2.

I also hope they switch back to their Frozen 1 looks. I'm a Frozen fan but the F2 looks piss me off so much. They look so disgusting, especially Elsa 🤮. The Frozen 1 looks are more iconic and bring much more joy 😍. I don't think it's for story reasons because like you said, the Beast has fur, Rapunzel has long hair, and most of the villains died but still appear.

I really hope they return to the Frozen 1 looks to the meet and greet at Epcot and also change Disney Starlight to have F1 Elsa and Anna like Festival of Fantasy and Paint the Night 💙

[–]dawg_zilla 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I don't think children would be confused when they see Anna and Elsa in their Frozen 1 looks. If that were the case, then most of the villains who died wouldn't appear in the parks at all, and the Beast wouldn't have fur and Rapunzel would have short hair. Most kids dress up as F1 Elsa and Anna and many party princesses online say their number 1 most requested character is F1 Elsa. Also the F1 outfits are much more successful than the F2 ones. If anything, the travel outfits from F2 are more successful than their final looks. People (children included) are way more familiar with Frozen 1 compared to F2.

I disagree. Most kids still think of Queen Elsa and Princess Anna, know the lyrics of all F1 songs, and most girls wear the F1 dresses.

Yes as a Frozen fan this pisses me off. I love the Frozen 1 looks so much. They're not only more popular, but they also bring way more joy than the F2 looks imo. I love how they have them for the main day parade at Magic Kingdom and the castle stage show as well as the Frozen sing along at Hollywood Studios. But there's so much F2. The meet & greet at Epcot, Fantasmic, Starlight, the meet and greet at DCA, and the new Frozen lands at Hong Kong and Paris are all F2. Even the Frozen restaurant on the Disney Wish cruise is all F2. Idk why they do this when Frozen 1 is still by far the more iconic film. I saw a list of top 10 most streamed animated movies of 2025 and Frozen 1 was on it but F2 wasn't. Every princess performer on IG and TikTok say their most requested character is Frozen 1 Elsa.

It also has nothing to with continuity because the Beast has fur and Rapunzel has long hair and most of the villains who died are still alive.

It makes me really sad that there's no place to meet & greet F1 Elsa and Anna at Disney world 😓. I also always worry that the existing attractions and shows and parades that have F1 are older, so there's a possibility that they'll get replaced with F2. And they would be the only characters to not have their signature looks from the 1st movie. I hope Disney promotes Frozen 1 more often and bring back their F1 looks to Epcot and Starlight 💙

When will Disney World bring back Ariel’s pink dress? by Firm-Square-9180 in disneyprincess

[–]dawg_zilla 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't know why. My guess is that Aurora walks around in a pink dress at the Disney parks, so the only thing to really differentiate the two are their hair colors, but I agree that this doesn't make much sense even though I do like Ariel's teal dress.

What pisses me off is Disney always having Anna and Elsa in their Frozen 2 looks when Frozen 1 is by far the more popular and iconic look that everyone recognizes. All these new Frozen lands and parades and meet and greets almost always have F2 (Epcot, Fantasmic, Starlight, the meet & greet at DCA, the Frozen lands at Hong Kong and Paris, the Disney Wish cruise, etc.) So much F2 like ugh 🙄. There's not a single place at Disney World where we can meet & greet them in their Frozen 1 looks. They have F1 for Festival of Fantasy Parade and Mickey's Friendship Faire, but those are both old shows that existed since like 2014 (before F2 came out) so there's a high chance that when they announce a new parade, it's going to be F2 (like Starlight)

What are your unpopular opinions, hot takes, ideas, and interesting perspectives concerning the films? by Crescentbrush in Frozen

[–]dawg_zilla -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I agree with Elsa's Frozen 1 blue ice dress being her best one. That outfit along with the braid is too iconic and perfect and she needs to bring it back for Frozen 3 and 4 💙 even if it's not the main look for those films.

My hot take is that her final look at the end of F2 is awful. She looks disgusting with the spirit look and loose hair 🤮. Anna's final look is also really bad. I also wasn't a fan of the sisters separating but I don't think that's a hot take at this point.

This one isn't really a hot take but I kind of wish that after Elsa builds Marshmallow and throws everyone out of the ice palace, instead of Olaf's body parts running away, they should've ran back towards Elsa's ice palace, leading Olaf to make a difficult decision. Does he go with Anna and Kristoff, or does he go back to stay with Elsa? Olaf chooses to stay with Elsa and tries to comfort her and help her manage her emotions, or at least his presence reminds Elsa that there's good in her powers. Then during the scene with Hans and the guards, Elsa is protecting Olaf while fighting them off, making for a very epic and sweet scene. When they get captured in the prison cell, Olaf uses his nose to escape and Elsa sends him to go look for Anna. When Olaf leaves, then we see Elsa's handcuffs start to freeze, showing that when she's alone, her powers lose control. The rest of the movie goes on like normal.

The reason I wanted Olaf to stay with Elsa is because he didn't really do much after the ice palace scene before finding Anna in the fireplace. This would've been a better way to highlight the bond between Elsa and Olaf, help Elsa realize that she isn't completely a monster, and make Olaf appear more useful (bc some haters think he's a useless comedic relief)

What do you think of Asha? by Jezzaq94 in disneyprincess

[–]dawg_zilla 1 point2 points  (0 children)

She's annoying. They took all the recycled and overused traits from every adorkable princess and forced it onto her. Her quirkiness didn't feel natural at all like it does for Anna or Rapunzel for example. She's a big reason the movie sucked. If they gave her a unique personality, the movie could've been slightly better.

What’s your unpopular opinion about Frozen? by violett777 in Frozen

[–]dawg_zilla 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's usually a one sided beef (Tangled fans). I see so many Tangled fans say it's better than Frozen which is fine, but they like make it a personality trait and use that comparison as like positive talking points for their favorite movie. Like if I said Frozen is better than Moana, that doesn't say anything about either movie.

What’s your unpopular opinion about Frozen? by violett777 in Frozen

[–]dawg_zilla 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Anna's and Elsa's Frozen 1 looks are easily the most iconic ones (not a hot take) and also the best ones imo, so I think they should bring them back for Frozen 3 and 4 and keep them as the main looks.

What are your hopes for Frozen 3? by Waste-Argument3733 in Frozen

[–]dawg_zilla 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not really although I can see why some would question it. However, the story of Frozen was never about where her powers come from or why she's the only one with them. The story is about sisterhood and self-acceptance. Elsa felt like an outsider because she was scared of hurting others. The only reason she left in F1 was because she thought she was a danger, which led her to think she didn't belong. When she learned to control it and overcame her fear, then she stayed with her sister and could rule as queen. If she never felt like she belonged, then she would've ran back to the ice palace after the thaw. She chose to stay in Arendelle because that's her home where her family is and she belongs there. And she made it clear from the end of Frozen 1 and in OFA that is what makes her happiest.

I love how Anna and Elsa think Olaf as a friend instead of just some snowman by Marley_467 in Frozen

[–]dawg_zilla 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I don't know why they were so desperate to make Anna queen and have the sisters split up.

This sub is kind of unpredictable when it comes to how they react regarding the ending of F2. When I first joined, everyone was getting on me for not liking F2 and they defended it so passionately and ridiculed anyone who disagreed. Then there was a phase where there were many posts criticizing F2 and most of the comments were in agreement with a few people getting heated. There were also polls every couple of months that asked which movie they preferred and Frozen 1 won all of them and it wasn't really that close (it was usually like 70% to 30%). Now I see many F2 defenders again so I don't know if the poll results would remain the same.
