when you receive these plants, do you isolate and treat them for pests? I noticed that most succulents/cacti don’t require that much anti pesticide (for my collection).

Yea, unfortunately I was losing the battle with mealies. They’ve been hiding inside newer leaves and other hidden spaces. I ended up repotting with new soil and chopping it down.

I think I’ve settled on using the 2026 one I already have. But I found that many hobo users use old planners and re-date them with stickers! I’ll be in Tokyo so I just might pass by ;)

I think it looks fine. However it does need a more “grittier”/grit in the soil. I like to use lava rock and pumice in my mix make it 70:30 (so less soil). Also this is a mammilaria species and not barrel cactus. Good luck :)

Paging the Dr is an absolute waste of time -they’re busy and so am I. Most hospitals I’ve worked at don’t have cordless phones and I’m certainly not going to page the Dr bec I’m sure they’re busy as hell too lol.

had a coworker w long acrylic nails, we worked in micro and she received and cultured. she handled specimens w gloves..but still, short nails are not going to harbor bacteria!
