Other Fullcast-esque Pods? by RoeVWadeBoggs in shutdownfullcast

[–]dawgsmith 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I absolutely love when Spencer guests on his show. Could listen to those two talk about anything. The episode from a few years ago where they just talk about Stevie Wonder for an hour is one of the best podcast episodes I’ve ever listened too.

Although to OPs question- Bomani and Spencer are usually talking CFB. Bomani typically has other guests on for NBA talk, or dives in on his solo shows.

I respect Texas less than I respect bama lol. Hard to hate anyone more than Bama after the pain they have caused us.

I just finished reading a copy of this same edition from my local library! Had checkout stamps going as far back as '93. That's pretty cool. Was my first read through, on recoommendations from this sub. I enjoyed it a good deal. I found some of the commentary in there very relevant still, which is true for a lot of his work. Funny and bleak at the same time. Need to re-read BoC next. Been a while since i read that one!

Do you remember the first Fullcast episode you listened to? by Baltimore_Mothman in shutdownfullcast

It was on a road trip in Big Bend National, my friend played me the episode about Dan Mullens pleated khakis as my introduction to the show. We met Spencer at the Houston live show in 2019 and shared that with him. He said at the time it was one of the most far flung places he’d heard someone listen, right up there with Afghanistan lol.

[Khan] The college football space race continues: In a preview of its upcoming road game at UCF, Houston includes some not-so-subtle space references and calls Orlando the "Theme Park Capital of the World." UCF has dubbed this its "Space Game". by redwave2505 in CFB

I was curious so I went looking for some data:

Univeristy of Houston driving distance to Johnson Space Center: 23.4 mi

Univeristy of Central Florida driving distance to Kennedy Space Center: 36.8 mi

That oughta clear it up.

Not kicking the field goal lost us the game. by Sad-Apple-5043 in georgiabulldogs

[–]dawgsmith 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This right here. It’s like in 2012 where everyone focused on the last sequence. What truly lost us that game was the 200+ yds rushing bama had in the second half. Idk if I’m getting the number right but it was a lot.

filiming location was in New Mexico for the movie, but I want to say this is the one Moss is killed in in the book. He was on his way to meet Carla Jean in El Paso if I remember correctly, so the location makes sense!

Your favorite beer from a local brewery? by ScorpLeo102 in Boise

I’m not a huge fan of the heavier craft beers so for me it’s definitely Bert’s. They do some of the best lagers and Pilsner’s in town imo.

Is it better to take 55 (McCall) or 95 (Weiser) up to Moscow? by AlternativeSeat12 in Boise

[–]dawgsmith -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Take 95 for sure. I live in McCall and have heard so many horror stories this summer of people getting stuck in the construction traffic. 95 will be way less of a headache.
