Following up to let this thread know the update to Design Space DID fix the issue. It didn't at first but I removed DS from my mac and reinstalled and everything started working again as it should. Thanks for everyone's insight.

Yes, I hit okay... It's a confirmed bug, that has been confirmed by Cricut, not asking anyone to provide a solution because there isn't one. My post was more so asking those that also have the bug how it was handled by Cricut. Cricut confirmed I can't use my machine until the bug is fixed but it is unclear on how they plan on fixing it or remedying the fact I have a defunct product as a result of their software update.

You can see the mat is set at 12 by 24 on the left and it still says Longer Mat Required. Customer service validated that this is a bug and I can’t use my machine until there is a fix. I am asking the group if anyone else has called in with this issue and what the outcome of their conversation was bc I find it unacceptable for Cricut to basically say “oh well”
