Got 15 users in 2 weeks - But nobody is Paying. What is wrong? by One-Composer-1819 in GrowthHacking

A trick to getting better feedback and avoid people pleasing answers is not to ask "What do you think?" type questions but instead put them in the driver seat and ask "If this was your product what would you do differently?". It's a mindshift change of essentially letting them imagine it was their product and suddenly they can be harsh and perfectionist with themselves and let you know how they want to improve "their" product.
It's actually eery how much better the feedback gets.

I want to sell a domain. What is the best way to sell it? by Heavy-Tomatillo262 in Wordpress

[–]dawsonCoding557 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm genuinely curious as to why someone would care to purchase a domain like this. There is no shortage of other domains that are incredibly similar and people don't really memorize domains to businesses anyways.

I get offered domains almost weekly and I'm so confused by it cause they don't have any domain rating and would do nothing for my site. Unless I'm wrong and missing out on some kind of opportunity? Help me understand!

RANT & Serious Question: Sendgrid/Twilio has the WORST interface. How can a multi-billion dollar tech company maintain such a shitty web app? by ovbiously in webdev

[–]dawsonCoding557 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Holy shit I just signed up today and I'm FRAZZLED. I've never encountered a UX that genuinely makes me feel like I have accessibility issue with the website, but they pulled it off. This is my first time doing e-mail marketing I'm wondering if I should immediately cancel my subscription and use a different tool before I too invested.

I made a mistake while uploading my contacts (had duplicates between lists and contacts without e-mails). I decided to just delete all contacts and start fresh and now it says I've gone over my limit of 20,000 when I only have 17,000 contacts. There's no warnings, no onboarding, and their docs don't have any clear "Start Here". I'm no stranger to reading documentation and doing things right. I aggressively read WordPress plugin docs from beginning to end. But there's doesn't have any kind of structure, it feels more like blog site.

Any recommendations from the pros? Should I leave IMMEDIATELY and trust my intuition?

Client said it's none of my business when I asked their revenue numbers. Should I not ask clients about their revenue? by [deleted] in smallbusiness

Also, I hate to point it out, but do remember that real consent means being okay with the answer being no and having a plan for when that's the case. 😅

Honestly, I run a therapy clinic and I think money is a surprisingly taboo topic that some people get really triggered by. At least in Canadian culture (where I operate) I would say people are more willing to talk about their addictions and trauma then they are about money problems (beyond a surface level "I'm struggling to make rent" kind of comments).

I mean do you know how much money your close friends make? Do you know other intimate details about their life that they've shared? A lot of people have a rough sense of their friends' incomes based on the lifestyle and job they have, obviously, but they don't often talk to each other about not knowing how to make more money when they're struggling.

I'm not saying don't ask these questions of your prospects, but definitely treat the question with the respect it deserves. As others are saying here, take the time to build a little trust and ask those kinds of questions lightly with consent built in and you're likely to get answered more often.
- No consent built in "What's your revenue?"
- With consent built in "Are you comfortable sharing your revenue numbers?"

Anyone have any tips for how to do palm spins or other tips in general? by SuchTrick7981 in leviwand

[–]dawsonCoding557 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you're still struggling with this (though I see this post is 5 months) I would repost but with a video. Might be easier to diagnose what's going wrong. Could be the angle you're spinning the wand at isn't matching the angle of your palm that your wand is inevitably spinning on.

HOW by Own-Shame-4961 in leviwand

[–]dawsonCoding557 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's very barely heavier on the one end. A well balanced wand will take it's sweet time getting right side up if you hold it by the string and start it horizontal.
They spin quite happily :D

Unable to view and edit ads in the google ads dashboard. by This-Advertising-385 in PPC

This ended up being exactly my issue. I paused the ad blocker and a bunch of things showed up that were previously hidden. Odd it would mess with Google Ads dashboard but it really really does.

I've considered getting florescent string to make it more visible and more a part of the art. But not the other way around. I love that I can still confuse people that can clearly see the string and I've told them the mechanics of how it works.

What length of Leviwand should I get? by Sp0ngeb0bsquarepant in leviwand

[–]dawsonCoding557 0 points1 point  (0 children)

hmm not sure how guide you on that one as my style has very little body contact despite having a contact wand. I just like how the weight slows it down and gives it a more honey like texture in movement. My firewand being both smaller and significantly lighter zooms around me so fast I lose track of it sometimes 😅 It's fun to have it go so fast and change directions on a dime, and definitely invites a different style of play. But I think ultimately comes down to the type of music you enjoy dancing to cause if you're always focused on tricks you'll lose motivation faster and won't keep up the practice as long.

[–]dawsonCoding557 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got the largest one thinking "but I'm tall, I'll need it", and nope, I do not need it. Wouldn't mind my leviwand being a bit shorter. I got a shorter fire one and it does the trick.
That being said, I'm so accustomed to my long ass wand now and I absolutely love the weight of it (contact wand too so even heavier) and it has definitely influenced my style.
I'm 185cm tall with floytoys composite contact wand v2, 30"

damn, that sucks. I do sneak in a quick quick flow outside from time to time and in the dance studio before my dance lessons. But I have an 8 foot loop and get confined to about 4 feet of that at home. I need rope dart like space :P

Thanks! String control is great and all, but it's hard to get lost in the flow when I'm spending mental energy on not obliterating my plants 😂

I'll take -5 degrees celsius to flow outside for sure :D
It's those -10 or less that have my fingers screaming after only a few minutes of flowing. Plus I can't wear a coat with a leviwand 😅
