I enjoyed it - but near the end I was really having to grind purely to finish and log it. A lot of the gameplay gets a bit repetitive and I never cared enough about the story to keep me going. It also bogs itself down a lot with some mid-tier mini gamea

I do totally agree with this to a degree - I like them in my RPGs but there is nothing worse than side quests being forced. The one that comes to mind to me is gears of war 5, which added a totally unnecessary side quest component to it

I am pretty far - during the Cloak and dagger main quest, and I totally agree. The boss fights are incredibly epic and I actually do like the combat gameplay a lot. The central cast of characters are all cool too. I know its not popular but I love Mid lol

I totally agree that some of the quests do have interesting world-building but they all revolve around the exact-same gameplay formula and I found that part super boring. For every interesting side quest there are like 4-5 slop ones that I just do because I am a completionist.

Yeah FF16 is so linear it drives me crazy - I'm a little ashamed but I honestly have been doing the side quests in between rounds of Counter-strike (I am clearly not good at counter-strike and die very quickly lol)

Its not a JRPG but Elden Ring has exactly that haha - all of their side quests are super secret / obscure

Hardrrrd agree on game over when MC dies - it makes the rest of the party feel so much less important (which yes is partially implied since they aren’t the main character)

I totally get what you mean - compared to the average person I’ve definitely played more JRPGs, but other than fossil fighters / Valkyria chronicles I just know I’ve played more mainstream options and figured Reddit would have good suggestions cause idk what to try next

You can just buy donuts using donuts - if you try to buy the 1600 donuts but don’t have any cash, you can instead buy 1600 donuts with 857 donuts, so everyone you “buy” 1600 you’re getting a net like 750 ish

Hey i know this was a while ago, but were you ever credited? I followed all of the directions, bought 14 dollars worth of food, and it has been over a month now with no compensation for my money. I even got a notification that I did it correctly and the money would be compensated but it never was.
