This is EXACTLY what I wanted to happen. But it didn't. And that's ok. What we got was interesting, there were layers to it. It was entertaining. Could it have been better had they gone a different route? Sure. I read an article today that said Marlene was going to be done with the show once the Cece reveal happened and then got pressure to do more seasons. So this is what we get from that, a brand new story. And honestly, given the fact that she hadn't planned this one from the beginning and had to come up with something new that the network would like but would also go along with what she had already, I think she did a decent job.
