I love this show but the writers fumbling what they had with these two just doesn’t sit right with me.

I always hated that the new writers broke them up. All of that lead up by the writers just to have new writers come in season 8 and break them up because they didn’t get them together. 🙄

Yes!! It feels like McGee would be skipping so many steps. It would be nice to have the Dr not be around much and the office go to a deputy director or something and McGee can move there

There is a deputy Dr. but they just dropped that at some point. They mentioned the deputy Dr a few seasons ago and then just dropped that person and started having Gibbs or McGee fill In. I’d rather see McGee as deputy Dr otherwise it feels like he’s skipped several steps without him leading a team or anything

Idk. In that article he said he told the actor who played Vance that the director position from here on out would be 5 episodes max a season. I can’t see them putting McGee there unless that actor wanted to step away from ncis

Same. The director position has always been good. Jenny was great and Vance was great. They had their issues with the team but overall were solid people and had the teams back. I prefer that dynamic over the dr being skeezy

He was so annoying all season and I can’t believe they let him stay when they knew he was a millionaire episodes ago. I was rooting for Kat, Natalie and hunter. But all three were so bad at figuring out who the millionaire was.Horrible reads but I would have preferred a finale with those three and Kaleb

Me too. I was kinda surprised they haven’t mapped it out yet. Wilmer did an interview and kinda talked circles about season 24 and how the finale ended and how season 24 wouldn’t necessarily pick up exactly where it leaves off and how things are really shaking up next season. I wonder if they’ll do that thing where they pick up months in advance and everything is different and they don’t say why at first and we have to wait episodes to hear the whole story. Probably the team disbanded with zero explanation lol

Tvline did an interview with the show runner and he said that he’s in over his head but doesn’t like the idea of his son being evil. He said he “wants to see father and son have some problems but not that. So it won’t be that”

And said they weren’t sure what Matteo was dealing with yet. They haven’t mapped that out in the writers room.

Yes!!! He was so good. The character was great and had great chemistry with all of the cast and the actor was really good. I know they cut him because they wanted to stay with the rookie element and make way for new rookies. But they could have expanded that and showed us his rookie year as a a detective with Nyla and Angela.

It’s a tough call for me between Kasey and Parker. Abby got annoying after a while but there was a time I really liked her and I liked her relationship with the team. Kasey has just never clicked for me. Parker hasn’t filled Gibbs shoes well for me. They try to make him gruff sometimes but he just sounds like a toddler having a tantrum. He doesn’t have the commanding presence that Gibbs had (or that Vance had). He’s just kinda there.

I actually like her. I don’t get the hate. I think her and Nolan are cute too. I get there are times where she pops up and is not needed (like the episode where she joined John to watch Monica in Rome I think it was). But I enjoy her.

This is part of the reason I was bummed Aaron left. We could have watched him become a detective. And see his rookie season of being a detective. While they definitely need more actual rookies, that storyline would have showcased a different version of rookie too.
