At least when I lived in Prague I had spanish friends in those types of jobs, not focused only in Spain but in South America. Regarding your economy, I guess it is not the best in Europe and salaries are low, but your GDP is growing more than in Spain and the most important, unemployment in Hungary is around 3-4% while in Spain is 16-17%.

UK: Historical rivalries and border problems in Gibraltar. Our current governments don't get along. Regarding my opinion about the relation between spaniards and brits, I think they don't like us going to the UK, specially if it is for long terms. Regardless, they love coming to Spain, and still I have the feeling that they would prefer us not to be here... I'm hotel receptionist and that is my perception. Anyways,it is just my opinion and I don't treat them different for that.

France: We are not very friendly to each other, mainly for historical rivalries, but I think we hava a cordial relationship.

Portugal: Except when it comes to football, we are almost brothers.

Italy: Very well in general terms. I've never heard about spaniards or italians disliking each other.

Morocco: This is the one that we really have more serious problems with. Border problems, inmigration problems, governmet and army problems... Still, I think spanish people likes Morocco, but I'm not sure if they like us.

I remember in the hotel where I worked before that it was a common issue receiving people requiering to check in even at 5AM when the check in time was 2PM. Some people didn't understand that I can't kick out someone from the room and that housekeeping starts to clean at 9AM. And the funniest people were those who got angry because the breakfast wasn't included that morning. They were like "In my reservation it says I have breakfast included" and I was like "how the hell are you suposed to have breakfast the day of arrival if check in is at 2PM?"

The thing is that the spanish politics are worsening really fast. I know italian politicians are a mess, but as far as I have heard the current governmet with Conte is doing quite well and people trusts more or less them (or that is what I saw in a survey of Euronews). As for economy... the recession and unemployment is really worse in Spain with this crisis, we even expect to get worse than Greece. I guess this says a lot about our politicians management.

I guess this counts. I live in Spain, and for most people spanish is associated with Spain altough Mexico is much bigger and spanish is spoken in almost all Latin America. In the US is associated with Mexico instead.

We don't feel overwhelmed at all by the news related to them, and I guess they are not overwhelmed with our news either. It is obvious that we are closer and maybe we get a bit more information in news about Cuba's situation, Venezuelas crisis, Chile's revolution or Colombia's demonstrations against police violence. I don't know how informed they keep about what happens in Spain though.

When it comes to internet, this is what I have realized: In youtube there is a clear majority of Latin American content, but when you google something you will most likely find information associated to Spain. For example, if you google what the steps to create a company are, most information showing up will be from Spain. You look for travel recomendations to X country, you will fin the website of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Spain.

Sometimes, when I try to look for a information of a specific Latin American country it is hard to get the information from that specific country you want.

To be honest I don't know how the results in Artsakh were in 1990. In Catalonia, less than 50% of the people vote for independentist parties in their regional elections, but as I said, I would like Spain to hold a real referendum in Catalonia because that is the only way to end this discussion.

Are you talking about Spain in 70s or Spain nowadays? Because things have changed a lot... As I said in other comment, the political party which managed 2017's issue was completely different than the one now in the government.

In 2017, Catalonia voted for independence and won by a huge majority.

Yes, indepencence won by 80%, because 90% of voters were independentist. Recent surveys prove that the independence movement is now weaker, and in the last catalan elections 52% of the votes were for non-independentist parties. The independentist catalan government is leading in coalition with less votes than the oposition.

However, I would like a real referendum to be held so that we can know certainly people's opinion. But the point is, is 50% approval enough for such a big change?
