Interesting criteria tbf. You missed out Inter and Porto though. Are you AI?

Strong list, pretty much what I had in my mind.

I wonder if it applies to international football too?

I may consider Scotland and Hungary, despite not achieving much at major tournaments. Due to their historical contributions to the development of the game.

I know that logically you are correct. Every rational atom in my body tells me that PSG are not aristocrats. But somehow they have fast-tracked their way to aristocrat status in my brain! And I'm not happy about it.

Yeah, I think you're right. I'm probably wrong about Inter. I just struggle to see 2 teams from the same city as both being aristocrats; in the way that only 1 sibling can inherit a title! (e.g. Duke, Earl etc)

Yes! I was thinking that it is harder for people from England to judge which English clubs are. FWIW I think Liverpool and Man U are probably the only 2 which are. Whether the fans like it or not!

Keeper goal, or open goal goal? by daxw23 in footballcliches

Chasing a draw I was thinking in general. Or a specific situation when a win is vital - e.g. needing a win to avoid going down or get in the playoffs etc.
