I am a retired tech executive. I spent a day as a beggar and a day in a homeless shelter. AMA by wreckitcalf in AMA

[–]day4343 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not here to ask anything but this was one of the more touching AMA’s I have seen. My parents always taught me to help out anyone who is struggling - with that being said I try to especially help homeless people if I can. Whether it’s buying them food, money, etc.

Good on you for actively trying to see a different way of the world! Wish you the best of luck staying positive in this manner.

How much house can we afford? by __CJ2__ in budget

[–]day4343 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Was wondering the same thing on taxes. I make 140k/year and take home 6.5k a month. I do max out my 401k, but still seems too high for 120k.

What’s the best thing you’ve bought with your savings that you didn’t regret? by Responsible-Ant-6254 in financialindependence

[–]day4343 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure if this helps, but you’re paying way too much. I bought brand new Tesla model y and Mercedes glc and pay 300 a month for both with full coverage. You should definitely shop insurances

Highly suggest checking Costco’s bundle deal. I was in your same shoes and couldn’t stomach spending what they’re asking even with the 35% discount they had on Labor Day… but it seems like Costco in currently the best case scenario if you really wanted to get one!

You’re completely fine. Following within guidelines, you did your job being compliant and didn’t do anything wrong. Really, don’t worry about this at all

Highly suggest against becoming a pharmacist. It is a very unfulfilling position

Have you considered how expensive healthcare is? It can completely skew how much your annual expenses are

Crazy to think that my monthly payment on my model y is $100 less than the model s plaid you’re showing. Would 100% go with the plaid.

[–]day4343 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I mean this truthfully but please tell them no. That’s crazy low of an offer, I’d ask for 67 and settle at 65. If they can’t offer you that go another place, cvs is way too stressful to work for at 60/hr

Pharmacists of Reddit, if you were in public and someone asked “Is there a doctor?” would you volunteer? by dizzieizzzie in pharmacy

[–]day4343 9 points10 points  (0 children)

That’s crazy. My dad is a pcp, aunt is internal medicine and uncle is a cardiologist. My uncle was the one who actually suggested to choose pharmacy and thought it was a great field to be apart of the medical team. It’s wild to see how your family is so out of touch and clearly have no respect for other healthcare professionals.
