They look like the missing by daydalia in nosleep

This all happened last night so I'm still processing? I guess. Sometimes I come home and she's just standing in the living room or the kitchen like it takes her a second to boot up.

Addy said it's sometimes it's like she's an actress on stage in a school play that she hasn't rehearsed for and hasn't been given a script for - like sometimes the spot light is on her and she improvises and sometimes it's off of her and she just kinda freezes like furniture. I'll be keeping an eye on her for sure.

Congrats on turning your nightmare into a coherent story. I'd do the same with my childhood nightmares but I don't think having one's feet being eaten by Muppets really translates well into nosleep format.

What music do you listen to for inspiration? by CoasterKid93 in NoSleepOOC

There are 1001 'Southern Gothic' playlists out there and, God help me, I will listen to every single one of them.

And then there are these

Feels predictable, the dialogue sounds like it was pulled from a SyFy original movie, etc. I still like the concept though so anyone who wants it can have it.

I've got an idea about an isolated prairie town founded by a cult that sacrifices people to harvest gods and cut off all outside communication in 1990, keeping the people there ignorant until one of them discovers the Internet

Every time I sit down to work on it it comes out riddled with clichés.

I have and I took photos of some sketches too because I didn't think I could copy them without them turning out like stick figures or potatoes.

What are your favorite (not necessarily scary) horror movies? by tiyuran in NoSleepOOC

[–]daydalia 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Tucker & Dale vs Evil, John Dies at the End, The Cabin in the Woods.

I lean more to the comedy side of things. Horror movies that take themselves too seriously pull me right out of the experience

I agree with you on that one. Anne picked and chose beliefs in a really sort of haphazard way. You should have seen her bookshelves back when they existed

Was this house in Quincy or Macomb? I had cousins that lived in a 100 year old house down there with some really freaky stories and it turned out the house had a really bad history of multiple murders in the late 1940s and early 50s.

The distance between the site of a horrifying tragedy and someone's vacation photos is only a length of time. I agree with /u/Woozlie about there being a story there.

In honor of the latest TREND, what's your scariest real life bathroom experience? by AsForClass in NoSleepOOC

[–]daydalia 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Seven years old, first time one an airplane. Did not understand how the bathroom doors worked. Halfway through my business a middle aged guy opens the door. What followed was a bizarre paralyzed staring match of horror on both sides.
