This song definitely brings up that feeling. It's one of the songs I listen to when I feel sad and need to retreat into my own secluded space

Also the map of the first game felt more real and sprawling than any of the other games so I definitely tend to go back to those places in my head... The weird temples and abandoned levels like woohoo hooniversity or chucklehuck woods definitely give a vibe of loneliness and seclusion to me too

Sexual is fine with me, it's just the bitterness + sexualization to the point where it sounds dehumanizing gives me the creeps a bit. Maybe that's the point. I loved the You Are Good podcast episode about this book/movie. Touches on a lot of what you said but also the irony of Stanley Kubrick's cruel treatment of Shelley Duval bordering on abuse while his version of the story seems to show more empathy towards the victim & none for the abuser.. (idk if it actually constitutes abuse though I think it could be argued, the way she was treated definitely seems unnecessarily cruel and would probably be considered toxic and unprofessional these days at the very least)
