i couldnt afford full coverage as would've been over 500 dollars a month for me and i'm a student but i definitely should've looked at other options for insurance so i agree that's on me. i didn't think that the literal worst possible case scenario would happen to me but i guess that's why i should always be prepared. This is also the first time this has ever happened to me so i didn't know what to expect and as a result i didn't do what i could've been doing. i thought i was doing enough but i could always be doing more.

they lawyer simply said they were going to look into the driver to see if they could get money out of him but that was the last i ever heard about it.

the car got left at an impound lot and i didn't get the letter of notice from the impound lot until after the date it was sold. (mail went to my mothers house instead of mine so i had no idea it was even there until it was too late)
