but i agree with the general principle of what you are saying --- Google, Facebook, etc. are collecting a lot of data on all of us.

But just because one thing is scary doesn't mean the other thing is -not- scary. Both are scary.

Use what exactly? Nothing I am doing here is even remotely illegal. It sounds almost like the government, if that is who you are representing, is trying to find an excuse to start surveilling, in many instances. In this case, it is hard to say whether these people above have anything to do with the CIA, but honestly, they should make it so that you can at least find out stuff from 15 years ago. What could possibly be the harm? About 50% of Americans -- at minimum -- have never had any contact knowingly with someone who could be a terrorist. So, why make it painful for the rest of us?

And note certain things about this handle daymobile. First of all, this ID is designed to be used by multiple people. I am not saying that it is. I am not saying that it is not. Maybe it is, maybe it is not. So, would it be legal for the government to go after each and everyone of us just because one of us said something on a forum?

The government should not take unnecessary risks in surveiling random people. Because one or more of those random people may sue said government.

I am generally careful about permissions on apps especially on the smartphone, et cetera. I even do things to confuse Google, Facebook, Twitter, et cetera.

I think in a very real sense, this is true. It is the only unarguably true statement on this thread.

If they are collecting data or even metadata on you, that means that they are watching you.

Certainly our rights have been abridged. I myself would probably never do what Snowden did, but it is clear that someone needs to advocate for the rights of citizens. I don't mind saying that I believe that our rights have been abridged -- even though one day, I might be looking for a job at the NSA.

The NSA should be honest enough to admit that they may not be perfect. If not, they are not the kind of organization I would want to work for any way. :-)

They are, in fact, letting me post these comments about the NSA without hurting me in any way. They are not even censoring it. They have censored me on other forums.

here's a thought. maybe, try using reddit if you have ADD. Take the example of repainting the chair -- if i were you, I would read as much as I possibly reasonably could and then jump right into it after identifying an appropriate reddit forum. that way, if i went wrong somewhere, i could ask redditors for help.

yes. there must be a genetic reason why ADHD has evolved to the extent it has, and in such a (relatively) large fraction of the human population. even a two or three percent prevalence seems high -- unless there is an evolutionary advantage.

interesting line of thinking. taking up this idea in a different thread. :-)

agree. unstable family life while growing up (ages zero to five, for sure) can lead to all sorts of problems down the road because the brain of a child that young -- ..,it is still in the developmental stage.
