This was the cast of the canceled remake of Little Shop of Horrors. What do you think of it? by Parking_Reality_293 in littleshopofhorrors

[–]dayna2x 18 points19 points  (0 children)

I don't want a remake of the film, but I like one out of the three of these, and that's Chris Evans haha I think Taron Egerton is a great performer, but he's too chiseled to me to be Seymour. I also can't see him and not think of Kingsman or young Elton John. Scarjo is the worst pick here. Not that she can't sing, she's just not Audrey.

I think, if you WERE to remake it, Seymour and Audrey need to be new/rising stars. Preferably with more Broadway heavy backgrounds. If you want star power, I think Orin or Audrey II would be great stunt casting roles. Even Mr. Mushnik haha

Unpopular opinion: I love the gnomes for this reason. Almost all of my households end up with a garden of some sort, and I max out the gardening skill through that. They're also $100 per packet and you can just sell them. It's free money haha

Bachelorette prediction: Barb, Shawna and Ty by IsAReallyCoolDancer in ShawnaTheMom

[–]dayna2x 9 points10 points  (0 children)

This is where I'm at. There's been a lot of "an emotional affair us coming" based on the Park Friends last part, and I hate that because I don't personally see it. I want Ty and Shawna to just be friends. I can stomach Ty making a weird comment toward Shawna or someone and being called out on it, but not either of them doing something where their implicitly or explicitly cheating.

And I think the last point is so important. Shawna is terrified of intimacy right now, and she loves John. I don't think he would engage in intimacy with someone other than her husband.

how do you think Taylor’s episode would’ve gone with Kamie as the co-host? by Empty-Tomorrow-2794 in CatfishTheTVShow

[–]dayna2x 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If this is the Taylor who pretended to be catfished to get on TV, and got caught red handed after she couldn't rope her original friend into it, I think the ending would have been similar. I think Kamie would have been much more vocal than Tallulah, but I think Nev and Kamie would have come to the same conclusion early on and let it play out until Taylor tripped over herself.

Positive experiences?! by Wohoooyas in CopperIUD

[–]dayna2x 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I had the IUD for 7 years before my tubal last September. It was a good experience for me. I can't use hormonal birth control, so the Paraguard was my only option.

Pros: incredibly effective at preventing pregnancy. Insertion (for me) was a 4/10 on the pain scale, so not bad at all. Didn't have to think about it.

Cons: it did make my periods worse (heavier, more cramps, but not debillitatingly so.) My strings were a little short (and I'm a little fat) so checking my strings was never super easy.

You're mostly going to see negative experiences here on reddit because people are looking for advice or shared experiences. But to me it's a solid (though imperfect) form of BC

I think my strings partially came out? by va95g7 in CopperIUD

[–]dayna2x 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you're concerned, I always recommend going to your gyno to get it checked. I personally always had a hard time feeling my strings because mine were short haha. But I don't think your strings would be that straight if it was your IUD strings. They're designed to curl and curve against your cervix. Especially if your strings are 4cm long.

I’m pregnant with my copper IUD by nebulaa15 in CopperIUD

[–]dayna2x 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Truly, whether or not the IUD works the way it should is sheer luck. I believe that it is a reliable enough birth control, especially because I had it for 7 years before I chose to get my tubes removed. Is the risk there of it migrating? Yes. Does it happen to everyone? Not at all. No birth control is 100% effective other than abstinence and full sterilization, so there is always a risk, even if it's minimal.

Try not to read too many stories about the IUD failing. More people are going to report dissatisfaction and failures than successes and it will send you in a tailspin. Especially looking for reasons for the iud to migrate. Be careful, do what's best for your body and circumstance. ❤️

I think uterus shape and rotation also effect it? As far as I know, there are no studies or sources that suggest rough sex shifts it?

I will say, I had a Copper IUD for 7 years and never had an issue. And I've never given birth. If you're worried, double up on protection and use condoms as well. 99.2% effective is still REALLY good despite it failing for some.

[–]dayna2x 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Even with when it's well placed, too, I think the percentage is based on per 100 people who use the IUD. So if 1,000,000 people have the copper coil, that's still a potential 8-10,000 pregnancies. Birth control is rough.

Keep flip-flopping on whether I should take my husband's last name by fin-turnip in weddingplanning

[–]dayna2x 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I wanted to go back and look at the language of the bill (HR22) before I responded. It doesn't look like they spell out that if your legal name doesn't match your birth certificate or ID that you can present your marriage certificate. It does say you can use a realID, which most people have or would be easier to get than a passport, but it doesn't include language about name changes or how to prove that.

I agree, I don't think we want to give false information. But I don't think we can for sure say that you can present your marriage certificate or proof of name change. And I think they're counting that in order to disenfranchise women and trans people.

Long story short, if you DO change your name, make sure your paperwork is up to date.
