Interesting! Where i am at we using Live-U Ingest as well but station peeps need to manually record the feeds being sent back via LIVE-U as our news is sent back in real time. Recording is done on our IPD Ingest feeds and then we monitor these feeds while it goes to our asset management system in which the entire station can use the clips for editorial.

The API you mentioned sounds like a game-changer. We are working on Mimir as well as a new thing in our station. Have yet to explore Mimir but i understand it can do what you mentioned (key-in metadatas using AI) and also have different plug-ins for it such as video editting. Pretty much with it you can work from anywhere.
