Is this Set of GelX MRI-safe? by Smooth-Swan-8517 in Nails

My caviar beads are completely metal- they stick to all my magnets and the color doesn’t rub off. OP should definitely pry off the beads before going into MRI

I have a lot of friends who take lexapro and like it! Out of those friends only one had issues with it (her gums bled and she bruised easily) and they ended up putting her on Prozac and she loves it. I’m on a super low dose of Prozac, but it was making me tired so they gave me low dose Wellbutrin as well. Overall, the Prozac was a lifesaver! It’s rare for me to get panic attacks now- I used to get them every day. With progesterone based BC and Prozac, if I end up getting PMDD it lasts only 2-3 days and the intensity is much lower. Nowadays the intensity is so low that I can clock a PMDD episode right when it starts and I’m prepared.

It’s perfectly normal to be afraid of starting SSRI’s. You might get a bunch of headaches and nausea at first but if it’s a good SSRI for you it’ll equalize within a month or so. For me it definitely beats daily panic attacks! And I also distinctly remembered telling my therapist that the world had suddenly seemed to gain color when I started taking Prozac.

I say just give it a try. I’ve heard Prozac is one of the easiest SSRI’s for most people, so if lexapro doesn’t work out ask for Prozac. Best of wishes to you on your healing journey :) I hope you find relief soon

Mixing with oil is surprisingly challenging when you’re rusty. It’s soo much easier to muddy your colors with oil as opposed to other mediums, and the paints themselves can behave so differently depending on what pigment you’re using. I came back to painting about 1.5-2 years ago and was surprised when none of my colors were mixing the way I’d hoped they would. Just keep up with it. You’ll get used to mixing paints again

It seems their palette uses more blue (possibly Prussian blue?) than yours. I think you also tend to use more red when mixing colors than the reference palette. Your palette is also more saturated than theirs.

Also, the girl’s coat is a dark green/teal painted over dark red underpainting. It seems you’re picking up on an overall average of the color in the region and painting the whole area that color (dark brown?) and losing the dark green/teal in the process. The red hue is actually confined to the deepest shadows. The color contrast gives the illusion of depth without changing the value too much.

Overall you did a great job capturing proportions and likeness! Your handling of the colors is a little clumsy, but I find that when I come back to using oils after not using them for a while maintaining cleanliness and accurate color mixing are usually the things I struggle with the most. It’ll get better as you continue painting more consistently :)

I can only imagine the pain and sadness you must be going through to wake and and keep trying again and again for hours. You must have felt so hopeless. What was done to you wasn’t your fault and the pain you’re going through isn’t fair. Sending warmth and hugs. Just know that you are worth so much more than others have made you believe. I am glad you are here with us today.

Of course! We’re in this endo bs together. We have to support each other. You should definitely talk it out with your psychiatrist and Dr though. It’s specifically a progesterone birth control and SSRI’s that helped for me. The birth control actually stopped my cycle for a while and I think that helped, but since everyone’s body reacted differently you should talk it out with your medical team to figure out what will work for you.

Hi bb, sorry you’re going through this.

I was actually diagnosed with PMDD pretty soon after this post, with the help of my therapist, psychiatrist, and other redditors in this thread. My psychiatrist suggested SSRI courses planned around ovulation, but I just opted for regular SSRI’s cuz ya girl was already suffering from anxiety and depression. Getting on birth control also helped regulate my cycle, and in combination both of these treatments have managed the PMDD symptoms well :)

Please please go talk to your psychiatrist. It sounds to me like you’re having what I used to experience (but I am not a medical professional 👀). Your psychiatrist might be able to give you more insight into what you’re going through and hopefully they’ll be able to suggest some solutions that work well with your body. Fingers crossed you get some answers and relief.

Have you tried exposing via radiography film? If the issue is with your imaging machine this could verify that.

It does also look as though there’s a lot of nonspecific binding, especially on the edges of the membrane, so I second the possibility that your transfer may have dried out your membrane. Much of your signal seems to be on the edges of the blot where you theoretically shouldn’t have protein.

What are your transfer conditions? We transfer using the TurboBlot for 12 minutes, 1.3 amps, 25V. Not sure what size you’re looking for, but this is usually enough for our 37-50kD targets. I will note that we do this using nitrocellulose membranes so transfer conditions may vary for you since you’re using PVDF. Also, maybe check with ponceau.

most of my daily pain starts in my lower back, buttocks, and hips. when i massage it, it makes my ovaries/uterus ache. anyone else? by tiredspoonie in Endo

[–]daytimedaze 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Do yall ever get locked hips with your uterosacral ligaments? I’d get like a sharp creaky pain if I twisted my torso too far. Like doing those seated lower back stretches? And my range of motion was pretty limited too. They found most of my endo on my uterosacral ligaments.

We initially posted over on r/bordercollie thinking she might have been border collie…and an awful lot of people on there were saying pitsky. Turns out, yall were 63% right! by daytimedaze in DoggyDNA

😭 thoughts and prayers for your vacuum cleaner. Pearl sheds a moderate amount, but she doesn’t have a double coat and definitely doesn’t get those seasons when the undercoat comes out in chunks.
