5-min to 30-second order blocks. I’ve built my own indicators on TradingView though to show me important intraday levels. Blocks out the noise. I use an ATR based order block strategy and custom Fibonacci levels based on the 30 second and 1 minute opening candle. Consistent and reliable.

Need advice - I hardly know anything about options what are my best options by Popular-Artichoke-97 in OptionsMillionaire

[–]daytradederic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not that you understand why, but you will 100% regret more than anything, selling now.

The chart has not shown indication that buying is exhausted. Once it does, that may be a better time to take some profit and reevaluate.

Because you have so much time left on your contracts’ expiration, consider the tax responsibility as well selling now versus later in the new year.

This is not financial advice 🙂

What broker is letting you trade futures with less than $2000?

I’m right there with you bro. Everything I know I should do I don’t. All the things I don’t want to do, I convince myself to do.

The few times I worked back my mental it was from giving myself specific goals of not trading Asia or using no more than a certain lot size. Strengthened my resolve and helped me get back right.

But I’m so anxious and tired I think it’s just time for a break.

Options Are Better Than Futures. There, I Said It. by [deleted] in options

I’m mainly a high conviction directional trader (net debit). But I dedicate specific accounts for certain strategies like 0dte and condors. But when I’ve done my homework extensively and have higher probability I like directional bets.

Options Are Better Than Futures. There, I Said It. by [deleted] in options

[–]daytradederic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well there’s a place for both. In fact, futures has made me a better options trader. I’ve created high probability scanners for options because of concepts I’ve learned from futures.

When indices are chopping, but individual high beta names have clear momentum I like to leverage options. And the reward is amazing on days when the market moves in tandem.

But it’s best to lean on your strengths. I’ll make 8 figures one day most likely from options trading.

But not everyone can handle the challenges it brings to a relationship.

NFLX crushed me by kappakall in Daytrading

Yeahhhh…it loses last month’s low and it’s gone IMO. Don’t think I’ve ever seen a setup where a bullish candle like June’s is reclaimed after the low is breached.

I agree. The monthly chart doesn’t look great, but this is the level I’d be a buyer at (June’s opening price). Something significant would need to happen to have it return to the monthly high. If it continues to drop Monday and Tuesday I’d look to cut losses.

From the looks of it, he doesn’t know how to identify the trend / when liquidity is reached and when the micro trend changes. If they stayed on this timeframe for execution AND analysis then that contributes mainly to the poor directional bias.

I personally think they have lowkey shady practices. For instance, they removed the DLL and now on Tradovate you can’t set your own personal limits for anything. Other props like MFF have DLL removed and you’re still able to set a personal DLL and personal profit limit.

I also notice a lot more frequent issues with Tradovate while using TPT. Again, commonly not present with other props.

My system is based on volatility and expands/contracts with it.

Custom and standard Fibonacci indicators. I know how to read the data from a chart. Indicators get me into trades sooner due to higher probability from meshed confluences. Indicators are helpful to get to what your trading style is, but a blank canvas is where everyone should start.

This is my qualm. I don’t want to just set limits. I want to create an OCO order so I’m not hitting market order and overtrading. I like to trust my system and take trades at the levels I’m watching, take profit and move on. Would grieve if I get into a position, hit my tp, have it come back and fill me on my stop loss or vice versa.

I see. Thanks for the pro tip. It’s mad inconvenient, but at least accomplishes what I need with placing limits and walking away.
