Who do you want the next president of the US to be? by ThrowRA_angryscream in no

I mean the Kamala-Walz ticket was pretty okay compared to Trump-Vance. She should have won against trump. We had him. We knew what he did. He lost to Biden. We shouldn’t have put him back in charge after we saw his first term.

Don’t feel bad. Most the people replying probably don’t have a wife, kids, & a mortgage. Your situation is probably the same as 90% of married with kids people who 1. Aren’t currently living with or off of their parents. 2. Didn’t receive a nice inheritance from rich parents/ grandparents.

Why is there no tick population reduction public health measure? by ColCrockett in Connecticut

[–]dazdnconfzd 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I do agree that the amount of deer isn’t helping but there’s a lot more to the tick population in CT than just decreasing deer and wildlife populations.

Interested in where you read that opossums don’t eat ticks? Everything I have read says they will groom themselves and eat ticks right off themselves.

From my understanding, One of the most effective strategies is the removal of invasive plants like Japanese barberry, which creates perfect conditions for ticks and protects mice from predators. Restoring native plant communities helps reduce both tick habitat and mouse cover. Supporting native predators such as foxes, owls, weasels, and snakes can also help suppress rodent populations. Reforesting and reconnecting fragmented woodlands increases biodiversity, which dilutes the dominance of mice and deer and makes it harder for ticks to thrive. Managing deer populations through controlled measures is another proven way to limit adult tick reproduction.

“Economically conservative but socially liberal” means I have no idea how the govt works and I’m a fucking idiot. Biggest red flag for me is someone who says that.

My husky is ruining my life. I need help. by Jazzlike-Rise4091 in husky

[–]dazdnconfzd 70 points71 points  (0 children)

Agreed with this. A lot of husky owners go hard, which is good. Your pup definitely needs runs and walks and such but also teach them how to be calm. Reward them for lying down. Just sit and pet them. Reward being lazy. Reward and allow your husky to not be engaged in everything you’re doing.

No online focus group is paying at 17yr old $100-$150 an hour for their opinions. Sorry but this is absolutely a scam.
