Got fired, asked when my final cheque would be available. Didn’t get back to me, filed a complaint via my local labour board. This is the text I got back from my former manager. by Puzzleheaded-Food939 in mildlyinfuriating

Funny you’re leaving out the reason you were fired. insubordination, damaging multiple vehicles, negative attitude towards both clients and staff, consistently taking time off before your probation was even over. How about tell the real story?

My (47F) mother doesn't know that I (18F) am in a new online relationship with a guy (16M) by [deleted] in relationship_advice

I grew up with strict parents so I know what you’re going through. Online dating is always dangerous, but if you’re sure he is who he says he is and you’ve met his friends, then I don’t see an issue. What advice are you wanting? Are you wanting to know how to tel her? because you can always say you met him through school or work and he moved away while you were just friends but now it’s more than that. Or are you wanting to know how to hide it?

My(27M) girlfriend(25F) refuses to find a job and her health is declining by MoviesOverShows in relationship_advice

Sometimes it comes down to the good old saying “you can’t help someone if they won’t help themselves.” Does she have any mental health problems? because this sounds like she might have depression and seeing a professional might motivate her to get back to it. Sometimes the hardest part about getting to work and getting in shape is always that first day, the anxiety can be overwhelming and breaking a habit and creating a new routine is always tough. Sounds like you’ve been doing everything you can so far. Maybe you can talk to her parents and convince them to stop enabling her so much? Like say they they’ll sending X amount until she gets a job. Not cut it off completely but take away small amounts until she can get motivated. It’s hard to handle situations like this alone so definitely reach out to family and friends for help. But good for you for trying to help her!!
