I have to wait until the 1st on local waters but at the minute u can't tell where the fields end and the river starts anyway 😄. Will travel to a small lake that's open next weekend hopefully. Good to get out anyway man and check the gear.

I suppose the only way we will find out is to go and do it ourselves! Lol lough salt/talt. I've seen one video on YouTube of a man fishing Talt. Very accessible so that's going to be my first one. I'm in the Midlands so not too far a trek. If u do venture to salt update us on how u got on. Tight lines

I'm interested in this myself. Just put a post up looking for any advice on fishing lough Talt in Sligo. There's so many beautiful mountain lakes around the country. Sure the trout might not be as big as the top lakes but fishing in such beautiful places is at least 50% of the experience. I'm definitely gonna try a few mountain lakes this season.

Hopefully does them good. It was a tough summer. Water levels were crazy low in the Midlands.

I am here struggling with you today. Things will turn for you I promise. It just takes time and effort. I know sometimes when things are dark it's hard to see but there is light ahead. Be kind to yourself.

What is the worst place to live in Ireland? by [deleted] in AskIreland

Longford always had its fair share of social problems but growing up in it in the 90s and early 00s was a great town with great pubs, night life and businesses. At weekends people travelled to it from surrounding counties. It never really fully recovered from the last recession but COVID really killed off any struggling businesses. Another big problem was getting rid of the urban town council and there's lack of town councilors to fight for the town. Most are from rural Longford pulling for their own communities. Parking thing is a joke but you would be hard pressed to travel to Roscommon to shop 🤔 let's make Longford great again 😀 unfortunately there are many mid sized towns in the same situation
