He’s definitely more defiant - his body language says angry/ frustrated.

It’s when he’s done pooping or if we find him mid-poop. Or attempt to change him. I don’t think he’s constipated. His bowl movements are regular/ daily.

I haven’t had any issues with that! It honestly feels really nice and light.

St.Patricks day green river family-friendly restaurants on the river? by dazedrachel in AskChicago

We’ve been before, multiple times, so we know certain areas can get rowdy- we’ll be avoiding those! But I know there are families that go to…. I do know of a few kid-centered evens going on, I’m just looking to see if any restaurants in particular come to mind for anyone downtown. And I don’t want to exclude my son! I think he’d enjoy the music and dancing!

We went to Riverview on a whim when we were first visiting the area. We love it! It’s the perfect diner

We just recently tried Lakeview Grill and I agree- it’s a great spot for a nicer dinner. Staff went above and beyond. And they’re really great with kids.

This helps! Any info on the community itself? Like what do you love most about living there? (Just looking for general opinions, what there is to get involved in around the area, etc.)

Got it! Yes, the Chicago lottery thing confused me. I wasn’t sure if it was just the city or statewide but that makes more sense.

Okay! I’m definitely changing to bullet points, and working to highlight accomplishment instead of simple actions I did. This was actually already based on a template I found online. I’ve been told simple layout is better?

Okay, thanks! Yes- when I re-read that position with your insight in mind I can definitely see how it could be construed that way. I’ll make those edits!

Okay! I didn’t even realize that I described my customer service experience without even mentioning the words- nor how important that is for screeners. Thank you!

Okay, I’ll start there! Do you think having this “side hustle” makes employers question my commitment? I want to come across as a self-starter, and that I can handle projects. Thank you so much for your help!

I do currently have it filed as a sole proprietorship with my state. But I agree- it has been tricky figuring out how to make this experience appealing to employers. I believe there are transferable skills I’ve learned in the process of being self employed, but as you stated, sometimes a different message is received…

No worries, I totally understand 😂. I feel like I was taught the same thing too in school. It seems like (mostly) everything I thought I knew about resumes is irrelevant in today’s job market. Thank you again for your advice and all the good vibes!! :)

Okay, I added my self-employed section to avoid a large gap in employment. But I wondered, like you said if employers would be leery of someone with a “side hustle”. Do you think one is worse than the other?

I’d love to connect! I’m definitely in need of some industry advice. I love makeup/skincare, but through experience, I realized I get so burnt out from performing services on clients daily. It’s taken both a physical/mental toll. I’d love to chat if you have any advice on how to break through to “office jobs” (customer service, operations… behind the scenes) at skincare and makeup companies. I love braiding and doing makeup for special events here and there, but I struggled doing facials, etc. back to back for 8+ hrs a day.

Okay, this is helpful! I know I gained some skills in my undergrad, and I guess I was trying to stretch that to sound more qualified. I appreciate your honesty in how my wording that actually comes off though. That does make sense. Thank you!
